Wonderful experience!

Our family stopped at the museum when in the area to view the monasteries and it ended up being one of our main highlights! The staff is kind and highly knowledgeable, the exhibit is engaging and well curated, and the mushroom goodies in the gift shop made for some perfect souvenirs to take home to our friends. Our kids (ages 5&6) explored for a couple hours and still didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend!

We did the two day train trip from Athens and stopped in this museum during the second day before the trip back. The museum takes about an hour to make it through two floors. First floor is various taxidermy birds and small animals and and exhibits were done very well. The second floor is devoted to mushrooms and provides good information on various types. The gift shop is also located on the second floor where they have lots of mushroom related merchandise. Staff was really friendly and eager to help. For 6€ pp it was worth a visit.

Mushroom (& chocolate) heaven

The mushroom museum is very charming. It is creative, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The range of mushroom flavoured chocolate bars make the visit worthwhile by themselves - dark chocolate with truffles anyone 🤓

It is worth paying a visit to Museum

I took the tour and visiting the museum was one of the items on our itinerary. The time spent cooking the truffle pasta was incredible and I really enjoyed it. All the staff there were very helpful. We had a great time there and would recommend visiting this museum if you want to visit Meteora.
