The falls themselves were lovely, and we had great fun clambering about the rocks. But the price was outrageous. The other offerings were random and poor - the snakes and spiders were enjoyable enough, but I wouldn’t have paid for them and the other animals were low in number, and closed off. No ‘encounters’ for us. You are basically paying c£30 for parking the car. (And the coffee / bacon sandwich for £5 were small!)

We visited the falls with our three children aged 7, 10 & 12 and had a fantastic time exploring. We all enjoyed paddling in amongst the boulders and the varying terrain of the trails. Our boys said it was the best walk they’ve ever been on - so definitely a winner. We had some delicious cakes after our walk in the cafe served by very friendly staff. The meerkats and the reptiles were a huge hit with all of us. The animal petting area was closed during our visits but this is was due to the avian flu outbreak so absolutely the right thing to do.

Worth a visit. There’s a couple of routes (one shorter than the other). But the long route isn’t too long. Nice little water fall there, and some cute animals! I loved the meerkats! Prepare for a long walk if you have little ones, but as for couples it’s not a long walk. Careful on some places it can be slippery depending on weather. Nice little place to visit. £8 each per adult.

my four kids throughly enjoyed there self i went many years ago when i was there age i know why my parents wanted me to slow down . great views we slept that night the kids did,nt get up until 11am next morning

My daughter loved this place and I thought the paths were very laid out, depending on the route you wanted to take.
We did both the red route and Purple route.
The restaurant had a good selection of food and drink too.
We didn't get to see all the animals though, as my daughter fell into the water as we was coming to the end of our purple route!!!!
So we went back to the car, but we will probably visit again.

Enjoyed the trip. Went with an 8 and 4 year old and managed the red route fine. Might be more challenging when wet as some of the boulder climbs would be quite slippery and the falls flowing faster. Cafe served standard stuff but it was nicely prepared/cooked and the staff very pleasant. Prices ok in my opinion. Seen some comments re:pricing for entry. £32 for a family ticket (2 adults & 2 children). The area does require a lot of care and maintenance and it has to be paid for. Generally feel that this is not badly priced and was a nice way to spend a few hours

Lovely place to enjoy the simple beauty of this county. Not too pricey in comparison to similar places. Visited with hubby and 2 girls (11yrs and 8yrs). We followed the red route (blue easiest, purple longest) which allowed us to scramble around the waterfall - great fun! There are activity packs for kids to enjoy available from the gift shop.
There are a few animals to pet and watch being fed. Didn't pay extra for the encounters so can't comment. Cafe was clean and served simple hot food, drinks and snacks. We only sampled the drinks and ice-cream but food coming out to others smelled and looked good.
We spent about 2.5hrs there. Would recommend those that love a more rustic and relaxed feel place. I loved it, and kids enjoyed the freedom to explore.

We had a lovely afternoon at the falls. We managed the red route too which worked up a sweat! Kids (7 & 11) really enjoyed it, so did the dog! The animals were fun to watch being fed and we found the reptiles too which were interesting. Value for money? £30 for a bit of family of 4 fun…yes I think so. Others let it down by going in the fall which we believed to be off limits and then proceeded to run around the cafe screaming afterwards wet and dirty! Make sure you have trainers / hiking boots when you do go, and enjoy a bit of mindfulness when you can take a moment to soak it all up!

Overpriced for a natural feature. I used to go there as a child and it was free, so I was looking forward to taking my kids. The actual falls and walk - we did the purple trail was great, and we loved it. Kept us busy for a good couple of hours with stops for paddling and climbing on rocks. We took our 10,12 and 14 year olds. They’ve tagged on a mini zoo, which my 10 year old thought was good, and cafe - the only thing that was served and enjoyed was the cream tea. The pasties are shop bought and cost £7 each, with a pitiful side salad. A small bowl of chips nearly £4 - which for the quality of it didn’t feel like good value at all.

Gorgeous day today at Becky falls. Chose here today because it was so hot outside and this has walking trails that are shady plus plenty of paddling spots.
Kids loved the animals and the relaxed nature of the site. Meercat keeper was very friendly when they fired questions at her.
Loved how the be trails had beem left largely natural without too many heavily managed paths -scramble up the huge boulders at the end was a winner.
Cafe reasonably oricedt and signs offering to refill water bottles was really helpful.

Yes, I'm almost positive that carers do have free admission to Becky Falls. However, I really am unable to answer your question about the lift back up the hill and suggest that you contact them direct. Also, please note that the red route is quite difficult walking in places so take care. However, it should be easier at this time as we've had so much dry weather recently.

We're visiting next Sunday with our almost 2 year old and wondered if the 'Blue Trail' would be suitable for her to walk? I've looked at the description on the website which states this trail is reasonably flat with some steep steps and tree roots - but I wondered if anyone had walked this with a toddler? Thanks.

Hello, thank you for your interest in visiting Becky Falls. With a bit of hand holding up the steps and over the tree routes your toddler shouldn't have a problem completing the Blue Trail. We also have a stamp trail to keep them interested as well. The Blue Trail does take approximately 30-40 minutes. If you don't feel your toddler can walk for that long we do have baby/child carriers to borrow free of charge (returnable deposit required). Which walking route would you do with a 4 and 8 year old? I’m thinking red?

If I remember correct, there are green, red and purple routes. Do the green for starters and if your 4 year old is ok with that the try red. I think it might be a struggle for him/her as you have to climb up large boulders and steps.
The great thing about this place is that you can do anyone you want, or all of them. If the red is too hard then just go for the green. You'll have a great time either way!

Hi there - absolutely. We get lots and lots of dog walkers on the walks at Becky Falls and the only place they're not allowed are in the animal enclosures and in the cafe - but we do have dog parking brackets right outside. Hope this helps but please let me know if you have any other queries I can help with.
