A very nostalgic museum. The cars were great but we enjoyed all the other memorabilia more!!! Fantastic to see the old toys, games, household items, etc. Good to visit somewhere with a reasonable entry fee though it probably reflects the fact that one wouldn’t spend a vast amount of time here. As another reviewer mentioned, it was a bit chilly (even in May) and, as many seem to comment on, the welcome also seemed slightly frosty! Usually these smaller places are really friendly and welcoming but this didn’t seem to quite have the right vibe. We bought the £1 guide once we realised there was no information on the exhibits, but ours was stapled together in the wrong order which proved very frustrating!!! We didn’t try the tearoom as unfortunately it didn’t seem too appealing.

The little museum was fantastic. I'm not one for reading loads of information, but a short paragraph by each car would be helpful. I know I could have bought the guide for only a quid, but I guessed that would have too much info for me!
Anyway, what I love about this place is that it makes a change not getting ripped off. I've been twice now. And future visits are planned for the cafe alone.
The cafe, shop and museum are all very good value. Helpful staff. Amazing range of chutneys, again for a very reasonable price. I will be back for some more of those as well!

We went as a small group of car enthusiasts, only £4 for entrance and spent an hour in the museum, probably a few cars in there you will never see anywhere else and a good cross section of micro cars. Cafe excellent value and good cakes and snacks.

I passed by on route to East Kirkby and decided to call in. The entrance fee was £4 and you don’t expect much for that these days but I found it very interesting as a person in his mid 60’s. Firstly there are the odd but charming cars, plus motorcycles and other artefacts from the early days and room displays. The cafe was well attended and clearly popular. Dress for the cold as the museum is unheated. Look it up on the web as It’s a hidden gem.

What a fantastic place to visit. We only live about 20 miles away but had friends over from Manchester. We had never been before but will definitely be going back. It is a very different experience with unusual exhibits the cars and bikes are becoming increasingly rare. I would recommend to everyone.

I visited with an 8 year old and we both loved it. My nephew was fascinated by the household layouts and cars in equal measure.
Unfortunately we had lunch on route but next time I look forward to sampling some of the cakes in the cafe.
Both members of staff we saw were very pleasant & helpful and more than happy to answer my nephew's questions.
Even got some free apples which made a lovely cake!

Really interesting place. Not just cars there are motorcycles, scooters and lots of 20th century memorabilia. Not expensive (it cost us £8 for two adults. Part of the display is upstairs so not ideal for people with disabilities. I ditched my chair and made it round on crutches. There are some very interesting cars to see - but my favourite has always been the lovely Bond Bug.
Don’t bother with the cafe the food was awful and we spent the next few hours dashing between toilets!!!!!

We absolutely loved our hour or so here. The little info booklet for £1 provides fabulous info as you walk around . The cars were the stars but we also enjoyed the step back in time the other exhibits prompted especially the toys. We left with a jar of home made pickles very happy and smiling. £4 each , was worth every penny !

What a lovely place. Friendly people, nice surroundings. Vehicles are just amazing showing a fascinating collection of micro cars and motorbikes, and with the displays of rooms in the period, there was a lot of reminiscing. The cafe was good with plenty of options for food and drink including decaf tea - perfect 😊.

This is a quirky, family run museum. If you like slick , interactive, bells & whistles museums then this is not for you. It is a collection of bubble cars and more. Lots of nostalgia including rooms sets and memorabilia from my youth and before!
We paid for a bubble car ride which my husband absolutely loved. It was thrilling and terrifying in equal measure. He didn’t expect to hurtle along the main road!
We had the most expensive item on the cafe menu (ploughman’s lunch) which had enough cheese to feed a family of four.
There is also a campsite which was a good size. No frills but perfectly fine.
The majority of visitors we saw seemed to be car/ bike enthusiasts who felt right at home there. We managed to spend about 3 hours there as we had to wait for the drive plus we looked round the museum twice and had lunch.

The Museum and tearoom is all level with plenty of room, there is a second floor accessible by easy stairs but a film link of some upstairs exhibits runs for p0ersons who find stairs impossible.
We have disables loo facilities.

The museumand tearoom are all on one flat level, there are stairs but also a video running of upstairs exhibits. We have a large disabled loo.l
