Wiltshire Scrapstore is a place of dreams. If you have children that are into making 'things' then you have to visit here. On arrival you are asked to become a member, which costs nothing, it is for the Scrapstore's records. You are then offered different size bags/sacks into which you can place much of the goodies.
Each of the bags/sacks has a price, but if you only part fill there is a price adjustment.
The Scrapstore is laid out into different area's, stationary, where a lot of the items are individually priced, there is quite a large area of fabric, and this is priced by the metre.
There is a huge area of 'Stuff'! Almost all of the items are donated and would have ended up in Landfill if not given to the Scrapstore.
The Scrapstore also has a cafe where you can have anything from a cold drink or a coffee to Toasted Sandwiches, A Jacket Potato and some wonderful Cakes.

A real mix of goods that means something for al the family, all the staff we met were really helpful. It's an indivudual shop so there are finds to be made that are not available in the "run of the mill" shops.

Visited this establishment and what a delight, absolutely thrilled to look around and to see the wonderful original items for sale. Well worth a visit.

A veritable arts and crafter cavern of delights. Run by very helpful people who just want to help you find whatever you are after. If they have it, you can have it for pennies.

A simply excellent idea and a great resource for school work or private projects. I took my son here for a party and he had a great time making things from recycled things. I also had a good time joining as a member (promising not to sell what I buy from them) and looking around all the crates and racks for so many interesting things. Take a visit have a chat to the volunteers.

Recently made a visit to the scrap store with our children.
It is absolutely amazing we came away with far more stuff than needed but you just get so carried away.
We have a disabled daughter with complex needs and we make visits to the scrap store to pick up materials so we can make sensory areas in the house for her. We always find something we can use and our boys always find things for themselves too.

My granddaughter loves this place, staff are friendly and the story telling was very funny. The arts and crafts table was full of everything she needed for a wonderful creation to take home. Lots of ideas for things to take home and create in your own home. And of course all recycled.

Spent a lovely afternoon in Lacock and this was one of the highlights, great use of recycling and saw some really interesting objects that provoked lots of childhood memories

Great little place for arty and crafty people, and loads of things to take away to keep the kids amused. There should be more places like this that take clean waste items from local firms and then sell them to the public for a small amount and prevents stuff going to landfill. Fill up a carrier bag or a bin bag and take it away for your craft projects.
I used to like the one in Wells, but now need to travel further afield....but it's well worth it.

If there's something you need but can't find it elsewhere or indeed never knew it could be purchased then the Wiltshire scrap store is the place to look. Also has a great cafe!
