I have seen many citadels and fortresses in Middle East and this one is beautiful from outside. However not so much interesting inside. It has potential but should be somehow better used. In conclusion enough to see from outside.

Arg karimkhani is a nice place to visit ، there is an attractive palace which belongs to karim khan who was one of the most giving , kind and a very fair king during the Zandiye era of iran
You can visit the yard of the palace and the outside of the palace is nice as well

Arg of Karimkhan is located quite close to Vakil Bazaaar, the central traditional market in Shiraz. The citadel is reminiscent of the days when it held a defensive post as well as the seat for the governor of the city. The interior is within the architectural principles of Persian citadel dating back to 15th/16th centuries. The wall paintings outside and inside the citadel are also fine examples of classical Persian images of battle and valour.

There are several buildings inside Arg of Karim Khan that the northern building is for winter and the southern building is for summer and the south-west building is for all four seasons. These building had changed during the time, although most parts of that became to its original form by repairing but different decorations of this complex such as its beautiful tiling have disappeared. Against the outer simple facing which is the symbol of Karim Khan period buildings, the inside buildings have more beautiful facing. For example inside the rooms are decorated by patterns of citron flower, hen and live colors gold plasting.

It's the place that you should not miss at all. Inside is mostly photos of Karimkhan citadel and also some sculpture. Also there is a gift shop where you can buy some souvenirs as well. At the end of the April it would be excellent time to visit.

キャリーム・ハーンがシラーズを首都と定め王都を開いたのは1750年。
彼は人民のためを思い行動する王で、人民からの信頼も厚く、自分の宮殿を豪華に飾り立てることよりも、臣下の健康、公共設備の充実にお金をかけたそうです。
だから、現在もシラーズの町中に残るキャリーム・ハーン宮殿の建物は質素で、質実剛健な感じで、ここがイランを支配した王の居住区だったといわれても信じられないほどでした。
邸内には王が愛用していたハマムの施設も残されています。
人民に愛されたキャリーム・ハーンでしたが、彼が開いたザンド朝が平和な時を保っていられたのはキャリーム・ハーンが在位していた時だけ。
彼の息子たちは残念ながら父王の素晴らしい政治的素質を受け継がなかったばかりでなく、王座に目がくらみ、あろうことかキャリーム・ハーンが没した後に兄弟間で王位を巡り内輪もめを起こし、結局ザンド朝はキャリーム・ハーンの死後20年も持たずにその幕を閉じました。
ザンド朝を滅ぼしたのは、シラーズ市内の一人の商人の裏切り。
彼は、ザンド王朝を狙う敵側と密通していたのです。

È una cittadella fortificata edificata nel XVIII secolo che si trova nel pieno centro pedonale di Shiraz, non distante dalla moschea e dal bazar. La cittadella è stata utilizzata come residenza reale e in seguito come prigione fino a diventare in tempi più recenti uno spazio museale. La struttura ha una forma quadrangolare con alte mura perimetrali e quattro torri d’angolo di forma tonda decorate con disegni geometrici. Molto bella vista da fuori al suo interno oggi c’è un giardino. È uno dei simboli della città.
