We had been hearing about the swans for years and finally made the trip from Jacksonville. We spent the day in Heber Springs with the swan visit the highlight. There are three places the swans land and we saw two of them. The first one was fenced and we were unable to get close, but the second place was the best. We turned into a gravel road marked by a sign that said “SWANS”. They were magnificent!! There were about 60 to 75, fluttering and swimming. There is a corn feeder present, supported by donations. They come swimming up to get a bite, allowing many photo ops! Definitely worth the trip.

We’ve been coming here for a few years now and we’ve never been disappointed. If you’re passing by Heber Springs make sure to stop during the colder months.

We went to see the swans twice this year. They are now in 3 separate locations! They are so beautiful! I especially like when they come in for a la don’t or when they spread their wings

Beautiful very peaceful and relaxing nice drive as well although a little bit more curves than I was expecting but all and all a nice outing.

We made our annual trip to Heber Springs to see the swans! They are truly magnificent and God has blessed Arkansas with their annual visit. The count is the original 3 have become 300. You can see them at Magness Lake or there is a nice lake on Hiram Road (ask a local for directions, easy to find). They will be returning north very soon!! Hope you can plan a trip before they leave!!😄😄👍🏻👍🏻

I was there on the most beautiful, sunny, warm Sunday on February 3 for Swan Church. Swan Lake, which hosts about 75 swans, is on Hiram Road by the sign in the picture. Magness Lake, off of Hayes Road, has about 20. They’ll be gone by Valentines Day so hurry and go!

Been wanting to do this for a few years and took advantage of a mild January day. The swans were as impressive as we’d heard. It was great to see America’s largest waterfowl up close. If it’s not already there, this should be on your bucket list.

This is a best kept secret. It is just about a mile from the Visitors Center and is privately owned lake, But from November to about February you can see the swans.

A wonderful place to see trumpeter swans, ring-necked ducks, bufflehead and other species of migratory water fowl. The swans are quite beautiful. My wife had a great time watching and taking pictures. Definitely a great place to visit when the swans are in the area.

The best viewing time is late Nov until mid-Feb, but are there swans there at other times? in Oct?
