Wow! What an amazing experience! If you are thinking of climbing Kilimanjaro then that thought needs to turn into a reality!
African Spoonbill made that happen. From an initial enquiry email to booking, the whole process was easy. Puis was always quick to respond to emails and provided different itinerary route options as requested. After being delayed for arrival to Moshi there was no issues at all and Puis made us feel very relaxed. Our whole team were absolutely amazing; the guides (Ibrahim and Mohamad), the cook and the porters made our whole experience possible- and of course reached the summit. Asante Sana for everything!

Via de Lemosho Route ben ik de expeditie Kilimanjaro aangegaan. En dankzij het top team van African Spoonbill bestaande uit gids Mohamed met zijn engelengeduld en enthousiasme, Eduarde die de lekkerste gerechten voor me bereide, Fatael, Omarie, Nuhu en Emanuel ben ik op de top van Afrika geklauterd!

These guys are absolutely the best. We African Spoonbill to arrange our trek to the top of Mt Kilimanjaro. Not only were they the most reasonable but the staff and accommodations were just perfect. Alot depends on the quality of your guide and the preparation and these guys are out in front. Our guide Norbert was amazing and helped us reach our goal of making it to the top. If you’re going to make the climb check them out I think they are the reason we successfully summitted.

We would highly recommend African Spoonbill Tours. We had an epic holiday!!!! walking Kilimanjaro, 5 days Safari, and flew for a few days to relax in Zanzibar. We couldn’t have asked for more! Pius the owner is very responsive on messages and answers all your questions thoroughly.
We have fed back that the online payment process should provide an automatic confirmation email and they are going to look into this. But don’t let that put you off, the payment did go through and we didn’t have any issues.
The team that supported us on Kilimanjaro (led by Michael) were just the best. They soon work out your abilities and needs. No issues with food on the mountain, and I don’t eat Gluten and I didn’t have any problems at all. All the team was super friendly and supportive! We felt very well taken care of :)
Syed, our guide on Safari, was so knowledgeable and answered all our questions! He’s been doing it so long he just knew where to take us to see the big 5. What a great experience! Also, the hotels on Safari were out of this world!!
We felt safe and welcomed, learnt a lot of Swahili too which was great!!
If you are thinking about where to go on holiday then pick Tanzania and African Spoonbill to organise it :)

Nous avons été mis en contact avec l’agence de Pius par une personne résidant en Tanzanie. African Spoonbills Tours a répondu à nos attentes. Durant la période précédant le voyage, Pius s’est toujours montré prompt à répondre à nos questions et il a fait preuve de souplesse face aux changements de dates (imposés par la compagnie d’aviation) et du nombre des participants.
Les guides Aloyce (parle un peu français), Olais (parle anglais) et Ally (parle anglais et espagnol) se sont unis pour nous accompagner dans cette formidable aventure et nous amener jusqu’au sommet. Le cuisiner Harun, le maître d’hôtel Dismas et l’intendant Miko ont travaillé d’une manière très professionnelle dans des conditions extrêmement difficiles. Enfin, les porteurs, tout simplement incroyables, nous ont impressionnés chaque jour par leurs performances réalisées avec des équipements qui n’en sont pas (n’hésitez pas à leur laisser du matériel à la fin du périple). Une grande amitié s’est forgée durant cette expérience inoubliable.
Je recommande cette agence avec enthousiasme.

Der Aufstieg auf den Kilimanjaro war ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Eine super Organisation. Auf der Machame Route ging es auf eine 5 Tägige Wanderung mit unglaublich schönen Bildern vom Kilimanjaro.

Unforgettable experience!!! I joined a group in in august with Africanspoonbillsafaris to climb Kilimanjaro through lemosho route. From the beginning Pius has been very helpful organizing my trip and responsive in terms of tips and equipment required. He received me in Moshi and took me to the shop to rent the rest of the equipment and materials needed for the ascend. The team of porters and guides were so helpful and amazing during the whole trip, I would not have summited without them! Thanks Spoonbill for an unforgettable experience!

Nosotros hicimos tres actividaes con ellos como fueron subir al Kilimajaro hacer el safari de los parqes y visitar Tanzania, todo fue bien y los problemas que hubo los resolvio el jefe de la compañia Pius rapidamente y con mejores resultados de lo que esperabamos. Recomendamos la compañia de Pius no solo por hacerlo bien sino y mas importante por saber reaccionar a los problemas.

We have just returned from a fantastic tailor made safari trip in Tanzania organized by African Spoonbill Tours and Safaris.
The choice for African Spoonbill was not haphazard: we met manager Pius at the holiday fair in Brussels in January 2019 at the stand of Tanzania where several local tour operators were guests.
Offers, made entirely to our wishes and budget, and travel info were sent to us by e-mail.
The (tent) lodges were carefully selected by Pius so that we had a perfect mix of small-scale, more local places to stay and the real bush experience.
About the then applicable covid-19 measures, we are perfectly informed, even called and guided on the spot during the collection of the PCR tests in Serengeti.
Pius: special thanks for providing us Saïd as a driver/guide.
With his 11 years of experience he knows every corner of Tanzania and he really showed us all the beautiful places.
He arranged unique picnic spots, morning safaris, walking safaris, experiencing the wildebeest migration, finding the best souvenir shops, visiting a Masai village… and so on.
Really great, we highly recommend.

Dear Pius ,
'm interested in information about climbing to the Kilimanjaro mountain in October also in a safari trip.
I would like to know prices, what it includes,, how many people are in the group? what kind of food, drinks? who is going to pick me up and from where? what is the experience of the guides, and are they speak English?
