Я очень благодарна нашему гиду за два прекрасных проведенных дня. Его зовут Zaw.
Zaw отлично говорит на английском. Он знает историю каждой пагоды и храма, подскажет на что обратить внимание, какие детали и фрески сохранились с тех самых време, а что было восстановлено, с каких ракурсов получаются лучшие фотографии) Показал самые красивые места, чтобы встретить закат и рассвет.
На самом тук-туке здорово кататься. Мне кажется это гуманней, чем на лошадках и поверьте раз в 100 удобней, чем на шатком электробайке по песчаным дорогам еще и навигатором.
Еще раз спасибо ему огромное!
I am very grateful to our guide for two wonderful days spent. His name is Zaw.
Zaw speaks excellent English. He knows the history of each pagoda and temple, he will tell you what to look for, what details and frescoes have been preserved from those very times, and what has been restored, from what angles the best photos are obtained) He showed the most beautiful places to meet the sunset and sunrise.
The tuk-tuk itself is great to ride. It seems to me that it is more humane than on horseback, and believe me, it is 100 times more convenient than on a shaky electric bike on sandy roads .

Zaw is a great guide, his level of English is good, he has a lot to tell but knows also to give some silence time, very appreciated.
Visiting Bagan in a tuk-tuk is very practical and safe as the same time.

I contacted Zaw, and he was unfortunately unavailable for tour at the time I had requested. HOWEVER, he immediately made an effort to organize my personalized tour (a sunrise-sunset tour) with his uncle, Mr. Khin Soe, who was an absolute legend. Usually, Mr. Khin Soe works with an external tour group that work with students who specialize in architecture and history. Because of his expertise, I got an incredibly detailed tour on the history and architecture of the temples. Mr. Khin Soe was very thorough in his explanations and took time to answer some of my (probably very dumb) questions.
If you are looking for an educational/scholar tour that explores the history and architecture of the Bagan temples, I highly recommend Mr. Khin Soe. Additionally, he is an enthusiastic photographer! I've never had so many photos of myself on my phone, and he was very insistent on taking lots of photos! Because of his specialty in architecture, he also helped me take a lot of photos of specific characteristics of each temple. Finally, he also kindly showed me how to use an e-bike in preparation for my e-bike trip tomorrow. Very, very kind man.
I have to thank Zaw for giving me this experience and for Mr. Khin Soe who took the time to give me a once in a life time educational experience!

Mr. Zaw was very knowledgeable of the place. He patiently brought us back through history when Bagan starts as a thriving civilization. He invited us to his village during a novitiate ceremony for us to see their local culture. Worried about getting good pictures in the temples and pagodas? Mr. Zaw will guide you to the best spots around Bagan.

Zaw was a blessing during our visit in Bagan. He fetched us after our hot air balloon activity and went to a lot of significant places/pagodas/attraction. And he even brought us to his village where a novice celebration is going on. He knows where to get very good pictures which is an added bonus. Overall, it was a very nice experience to see the actual culture of Myanmar and that will stay in our lifebook forever.

Zaw is the BEST!! I did a day tour with him around Bagan Temples in a tuktuk. He’s an excellent guide and driver. I learned so much from him because hek owshis stuff. The biggest plus for him is that he has a good eye for the best photo shots and he takes you to the unique spots that you rarely see on print or videos. Keep up the good work Zaw. Thank you so much for showing me the BEST of Bagan.

So we had a 2 day tuk tuk tour with Zaw and saw everything we wanted to see plus additional things Zaw suggested. He was very knowledgeable and tried his best to explain us everything which was not easy as our English isn‘t perfect. He took us to a ceremony in his village and we had a wonderful hour at this ceremony. He also makes very good pictures and is always on the search for good photo spots. We recommend him highly.

We did 2 days of tours with Aung and it was wonderful. He really went above and beyond to provide us a great service and give us everything we needed or ask for for this trip. He was very knowledgeable and spoke very good English so he was able to tell us a lot about the history of Bagan and the temples. He was also very flexible and was able to accomodate us and change the schedule to do what we wanted to do as well as the day went on. Fantastic and lovely guide. Would recommend!

Zaw is super considerate and helpful. He can take you in his comfortable tuk tuk into places where crowds can be avoided and the best photography can be had. Having being a monk you will receive firsthand religious facts about Buddhism and being a local will show you the out of the ordinary Bagan.

I had read about Zaw online and reached out to him via email. He responded quickly via WhatsApp, as I had asked, and we set up a tour for the following day. My time with Zaw went far and away above and beyond expectations. He gave me a master class on Buddhism and the history of Bagan. In a word, it was captivating. He didn’t just rattle off facts and figures - he told stories and anecdotes that brought the ancient city alive. Additionally, Zaw is quite the amateur photographer in his own right, so he is very knowledgeable about where to stand, and @ what time of day to visit, the myriad temples, stupas and monasteries. The day is broken up in two parts, morning and afternoon, with a midday respite back @ your place of stay. It was perfect to be able to get out of the heat and relax before getting back to it in the afternoon. I thought the day was over after our sunset pictures, but Zaw asked if I had interest in photographing three of the more prominent temples that are lighted @ night. What a treat that was! Totally unexpected, and I was able to get some wonderful shots for my scrapbook. If you want to rent a scooter and go exploring, by all means do that. But when you’re ready for some context and a fascinating history lesson (particularly if you’re a photographer), hire Zaw for the day. You absolutely will not be disappointed.
