The sunrise that couldn't be forget! Very good organisation from the pick-up from the hotel to the beautifil finish with "flower" rose champagne and pleasant presents. And, of course, our capitan, Mr. Richard, is really Great of All Times. His English humor is incredible!
Wish this company good luck, prosperity and lot's of customers!

We got up very early to see the sunrise over the tempels and it was amazing

Senza fiato. Una delle più belle esperienze della mia vita. Non è economico, circa 320€, ma li vale tutti. Vedere dall’alto i magnifici templi di bagan e i contadini che arano i campi coi buoi non ha prezzo

Wir sind Anfang März mit Oriental Ballooning gefahren. Ein wirklich unglaublich schönes Erlebnis, das seinen Preis hat, aber es war uns jeden Dollar wert. Abholung und Ablieferung im Hotel alles gut. Die Ballonfahrt mit Donna war vom Start bis zur Landung perfekt. Der Ausblick... Atemberaubend...
Wer die Gelegenheit hat (wenn Corona vorbei ist) sollte sich das nicht entgehen lassen.

Unbelievable

I booked this trip through myanmarvels tours and travel which is cheaper than booking direct.
Although I'd always wanted to go in a hot air balloon I was nervous at the same time. I needn't have been.
We were picked up from the hotel and taken to the launch area whilst it was still dark and given breakfast.
They then started to get the balloons ready for launch. This is a terrific sight. We were then given a safety briefing.
It then came time to take off. There is plenty of room in the basket.
By ty the time we took off the sun was coming up.
My fear disappeared as soon as we took off.
The views are spectacular and our pilot gave a very knowledgeable commentary. He made sure that everybody had great views by turning the balloon round.
All too soon it was over. The landing is a bit bumpy but no worse than a bumpy plane landing.
I would love to go again.

Thank you for your review. We are so pleased that you had an unbelievable flight with Oriental Ballooning. We find that passengers who are a little nervous soon over come their fears and are those that enjoy the flight the most. The pilots all coordinate the inflation of the balloons prior to take off and it does make a great sight as they rise from the ground all together. All our pilots like to share their local knowledge of Bagan and are always happy to answer questions, the pilots enjoy the flight just as much as the passengers do. Breathtaking views ballooning over Bagan, Myanmar 14 March 2020

Wow, what a breathtaking experience. The sun was rising as we took off from the Irrawaddy River flood plain, quickly above the trees you can see the fast area of Bagan and the hundreds of Pagodas. As we flew over the landscape you see people going about the daily routine, maybe sweeping the ground in front of their house, working in the fields or walking to market. The crew at Oriental Ballooning Bagan were brilliant, safety for all passengers was the priority. My first ballooning flight at the age of 67, I will be doing it again!

Fantastic experience.

Very well organized, nearly militarily. It gives confidence.
We were 8 in the balloon.
We flew for nearly 1 hour and a half
We flew just over the tempels.
Unbelievable views !
The pilot (Brian from Australia) was very kind an communicative.

Of course the quality of your experience will depend on the weather and the wind. We have the chance to have a beautiful weather with the perfect wind just going over the temples

A "Must Do" Experience in Bagan

Wonderful experience which was unforgettable. All balloons are UK manufactured with qualified pilots and trained local ground staff who were all excellent.
Take off & landing were smooth and views breathtaking. It was well planned with coffee and pastries on arrival and champagne, baseball cap and certificate of completion at the end. We had some photos taken during the flight which we download afterwards. There were only 5 images which were a bit disappointing and just showed everybody in the basket - i would have liked some shots of the temples from the balloon to complement our own photos & videos. But its a small quibble. Overall a great experience which was very safe & we would recommend. Try booking with your tour operator as its usually cheaper than direct!

Our cameras are fixed and point towards the basket at all times, we always try and position the balloon so that temples are visible in the photos, but its not always possible. Our photos offer an angle that passengers are not able to get and the photos are of course a free download. Best Regards Dave

De ervaring was ronduit bedroevend. Onmiddellijk na opstijgen stegen we naar 800 meter hoogte ('owv wind') en we zijn enkel bij het landen neergedaald. De tempels en pagodes waren amper te zien, gezien de hoogte. Van de mooie foto's in hun folder was niets terug te vinden. Jammer, want de bagansite is werkelijk subliem ( vanop de grond).

Thank you for your review. Hot air balloons have no steering and we cannot control the wind direction or speed. Sometimes we do have to fly higher to remain in the flying area that the local authorities have granted the balloon companies. Even from 800 meters the view over the temples is spectacular, we are sorry that you did not enjoy your flight. Best Regards Dave
