This is the tour to go with! Ahmad is truly a lovely person and knows the plains inside out. I had a lovely time meeting him through a different group and his tours are more professional in comparison to the others offered in Petra. Definitely consider going through with this tour if you want the full experience that the first part of Petra has to offer

Totally awe inspiring! The colours, the design and the workmanship that went into this monument. Pesky camel riders made viewing in peace difficult.

One of a kind experience

This was the BEST tour we did in all of Jordan. While Petra is beautiful, doing it with Ahmed and trekking through the canyons and mountains (doable by almost everyone) is a totally different and must do experience. He has so much knowledge about the land, and is passionate about taking your pictures and videos - which was a great bonus. Highly recommend for a once in a lifetime experience.

Best way to start your Petra visit!

This is an amazing trip, and probably the best way to start your trip to Petra. Ahmed is an experienced and engaging guide, bringing the environment and history of the area to life in an easy and friendly way, while taking you through some secluded and off-the-beaten track routes that show you areas of Petra that most tourists never see.
The tour includes showing you the Treasury and other sights of Petra from high above the main trails, away from the main groups of tourists where you get nice clear views (and photos) and peace & quiet (hard to find in Petra!).
After the tour, you can rejoin the main areas and see all the sights from the vantage points that all the other tourists have, but knowing you’ve had better views & calm areas before!
Strongly recommend this tour with Ahmed - he’ll keep you entertained & informed throughout.

The best part of our Jordan trip

The hike with Ahmed was the highlight of our Jordan trip. We are a family of 4, 2 adults in our 40s and 2 kids (5&7) and the level of difficulty was just right. Our children loved it so much they ranked it the best thing about Jordan. To be honest, it was ours too. We arrived one day before and explored Petra using the normal route through the siq first with a tour guide. The following day at 6AM we did this tour with Ahmed and it was just perfect. We got to watch sunrise from the top of the mountain. The bonus is Ahmed is also an amazing photographer and we got so many stunning pictures from our tour.

An Unforgettable Experience
I don't know how to put it into words, as we are still in such a "shock"..
If you are a horse enthusiastic and you are in Wadi Musa area, DO NOT MISS THIS!
Ahmed not only have a great love for horses, but he has an amazing photography skills too.
His horses are well kept and trained, and the trail is breathtaking.
Do not worry if you are a beginner or a novice, you are in safe hands!
Me and my husband will cherish this experience for the rest of our lives. Thank you habibi!

I got a tour with Ahmed via the bedouin route and it was absolutely amazing. First of all, we got into his airbnb to sleep in two night. It was great and confy. We asked him to make us a tour of the monastery via the Bedouin route and it was just fantastic. He explained everything to us, like the places were somes movies got shoot in, places were the bedouin used to go and sleep. Also, we did have a glass of tea from the bedouin in a little secret place and it was absolutely lovely and certainely the best tea ever. Above all of that, Ahmed is a really great person, kind and caring. It was a lovely trip !
