There are two churches in Velešín and this one is the oldest. 1285 Mentioned in a charter. Due to frequent fires the Church has undergone many changes. 1502 Tower Western facade. 1604 Restored and adapted. 1751-54 Vault completed, 1754-1763 adapted. Current view is the result of the adjustments made in the years 1887-88 and 1932. High altar and Rococo Tabernacle, second half of the 18th century, painting pseudobaroque 1886 (Bedřichem Kamarýtem). Side altar, pulpit and sculptures from different periods with various artistic and values. Valuable Baroque organ, about 1750, was installed in 1988. The Church has a large functional cemetery.
