Wandered in here with the wife on what was a slow day in Columbia, but they were open! The range was of merchandise was very complete and fun! The selection of foods was amazingly complete and eclectic! The owner was extremely friendly and helpful! Well worth the visit.

We stopped in to see what we could see at the Columbia Mercantile and found it to be very pleasant. I picked up some candy that I used to eat when I was a kid for my grandchildren; and then went on to buy 2 bottles of delicious, affordably-priced wine for me! I spent a little time chatting with the friendly owner and enjoying the company of Penny, his sweet puppy. Just a nice experience!

What a great discovery to find local, fresh and gourmet fares + art, wines & beers and more yummies under one roof. If the smell of fresh baked sourdough doesn't capture your attention when walking in the door, don't worry, as store owner Teresa Torbett has thoughtfully stocked the shelves and coolers with everything your little heart could desire and more. If you are staying nearby and need a meal or snacks for your picnic, load up your basket with an assorted variety of delectables including local cheeses, meats, spreads, crackers and more ...OR pick up dinner (lasagna and more) to go by calling ahead. Hands down try the sourdough bread and fresh baked cookies and grab your favorite bubbly to wash it down. Something here for everyone and what a fabulous venue to have in this quaint historical community. Definitely returning when we are in close proximity of this fascinating town.
