Yes, the apostrophe is in the right place; there are two proprietors; husband and wife, for this mid 1800’s store. This is in the historic town of Columbia from California Gold Rush Days. Danette is very enthusiastic in sharing her love and expertise of history. She likes to connect people with an accurate picture of our past. A photographic demonstration may be available for small groups showing how children used to dress, cut and style their hair, what boys may have had in their pockets, and more. She sells items for crafters, such as stencils and floor cloths from the mid 1800’s. There are books, toys, diaries, and craft kits for children to take home. She has a doll collection and a beautiful child’s wagon with the inscription Big Trees, which she received as a gift. Be sure to ask for the story of the little boy who owned it; who grew up to manage the Wawona Hotel in Yosemite. She has written a very interesting book about it that's for sale. The business name of this shop: exchange of information, skills, and activities that pertain to Calif. You will leave this store with much historical information and a curiosity for history!
