During the busy Easter Weekend in Sonoma we stopped at Rued Winery honestly because there was only one car parked out front. That was a win for us! Apart from having the tasting room to ourselves we had a great conversation with our host and had some delightful wines. We recommend the 2017 Sauvignon Blanc for fans of whites and the 2015 Zinfandel for red drinkers.

Wonderful winery,great host! welcomed 10 of us during the barrel tasting time to just wine taste. We wanted to have picnic lunch and it was raining said we could use their Picnic tables which were covered and shelter from the weather. Beautiful scenery, great tasting wine thanks so much will be back.

Rued Winery has been growing grapes & making wine sincr 1882. In 2000 they began producing wines on a limited basis under their own label. They produce Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio, Sauvvignon Blanc & Zinfandel. Various wine clubs are available, tasting room on site & free parking.

We've participated in Passport to Dry Creek Valley 6 times out of the last 7 years and started at Rued a couple trips back. It's now one of our go-to wineries anytime were in the Healdsburg area. These are family farmer/winemakers, headed by Richard Rued and down to earth and self-effacing. That covers the people-great.
The wines cover the usual gamut of CA wine producers. I was particularly taken with their unoaked Chardonnay, a nice contrast to the usual highly oaked and buttery CA Chards. Their Pinot (from the cooler climate Russian River) is very good. Their wines are all reasonably priced, well made and a pleasure to drink.
