Took a beginners surf lesson with a mate at through this company, and Rudy was our instructor. He was absolutely class! Super patient and positive, and gave me pushes when I was just too tired to paddle.
Great guys and a great surf experience.
Thank you for the lesson and I can't wait to get back in the waves again soon.

Bill Sharp is a legend in the surfing community and the Huntington Beach area! I saw why he is revered so greatly after taking some surfing lessons. In no time, I was able to rip on the waves and a new love of the surf overcame me.
You will not regret, Bill's school is the best around!

This week our family had beginner private lessons for (3) of our 10 year olds. (approx. 90 minutes) All 3 children had a blast and experienced success in the first hour of learning to surf! The owner Bill was professional and thoughtful. Their instructors were fantastic. HB surf made sure our kids were safe and comfortable in the ocean. This is an energetic, experienced, and positive group of instructors. We can definitely recommend this school. We will be back. Thanks to HB surf school.

We booked a 2-hour lesson with Rudy for our niece. She had never surfed but is an experienced diver and swimmer. Rudy was patient and encouraging and had her up on the board in no time. She had a great first experience and looks forward to trying lessons again should she ever live somewhere near good surfing beaches. Highly recommend!

Bill runs a great surf school. Rudy was our instructor for our group lesson (5 of us). He was fantastic! He explained everything well, we learned techniques on the beach and he made sure to spend time helping each of us in the water while we were surfing. All of us were able to get up on our surfboards and Rudy was always very encouraging. Overall learning to surf with the HB Surf School was a great experience!

I would absolutely reccomend choosing HB Surf School if you're looking for lessons. When I called I was able to schedule a lesson for the very next day, which was great. I had a lesson from Raegan, and she was a great instructor; she was very knowledgeable and helpful, super nice, and I feel like I got a great introduction to surfing. Worth every penny.

Bill is professional and friendly, he knows the surf spots of Huntington Beach like no one else. He gave me lots of helpful advices, and really listened to my needs. The HB School also provides the boards and the wetsuit.

HB surf school is a friendly, approachable and highly professional team! Bill Sharp (along with his team) embodies all of these qualities and is clearly incredibly knowledgable and experienced!
I had a solo lesson with Reagan (apologies if spelling is wrong), she was fantastic! Super friendly and encouraging, she really tailored the lesson to suit me and my ability-much appreciated! As I can surf a little already, she was sure not to spend too long covering basics, but definitely covered the safety aspects very clearly.
I definitely recommend the HB Surf School whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to improve, kids/adults-anyone!
Bill also does a lot of work with the military both US and British, also injured/veterans. As a serving member I can’t admire/appreciate this enough and will definitely be arranging something for my soldiers either stateside or in the UK!
