The wine place to go because Chris (the owner) has seen fit to have live entertainment that is always great, in a "Art" exhibit including really nice jewelry for sale and some fantastic wine by the glass for tasting, full glass for drinking or bottles to drink and go.

We enjoyed the 3 tier sampler of wine and cheese and fruit tray. The live music on the deck was also enjoyable. (we had our dog so couldn't be inside)

This place is the best! The wine was so delicious ( the Bordeaux is a must try), and you can tour the art and jewelry while you sip! Such an awesome way to spend an afternoon and the staff is so friendly

Friendly help and happy customers. This is a large place where you can sip by the glass or bottle or what we did which was taste. Got great advice and we liked their selection of wines, mostly from Temecula. While we didn't have any food, they do have a short menu. They also have some beautiful pieces of jewelry and art work, etc., for sale by the local artists. Prices seemed fair and beautifully displayed.

We went to Idyllwild to escape the extreme heat of Palm Springs and we came upon this gem of a winery. My husband and I spoke with owner and winemaker Chris at length and we had a great visit. The wines are very good. The outdoor patio is shader and very nice and there is unique jewelry for sale in the tasting room/art gallery. A must visit if you are in this area and enjoy wine!

Classy place to drink great wine, by owner and vintner Chris Johnston. For visitors to Idyllwild, this is a must go to spot. Beautifully finished interior. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Grab a glass of vino, take a walk around the gallery (don't forget upstairs), and listen to some great music. You won't be disappointed!

I want to thank you for visiting with us and sharing such kind words. I am glad that you found the art on both floors of the tasting room appealing. It is certainly one of the benefits of living in an artists' village.
Please come back and visit, bring the family and friends since we are "family friendly" with coloring books and other activities for the youngsters not quite old enough to enjoy the wine. And, don't forget our patio is dog friendly as well! Please check our website https://middleridge.com and look for our live music schedule for Friday and Saturday evenings.

Wasn’t sure what to expect when we walked in as it wasn’t set up like your traditional wine tasting. The staff was great. Very welcoming and helped explain the options. We did the samples, bought a glass of the one we liked, then walked around the art gallery. I got the vibe that it was a local hang out in a way. The other guests were social and friendly. Made for an enjoyable afternoon.

Husband and I took the drive from Palm Desert to Idyllwild today. It was a beautiful day and we stopped at the winery. The deck is shaded and dog friendly. Inside there is beautiful art work and jewelry for sale. The winery gets the grapes from other places in California, and they make their own wine using the grapes. $15 to try 3 wines, so between my husband and I we tried 6. Can’t say we liked the whites, and the rose was also pretty dry and tart. The reds overall were good - not spectacular - so I wouldn’t recommend buying bottles here per se. this is just a nice place to stop and have some wine. The Malbec was the best of the reds. They also offer a small menu of items to eat while sipping your wine. Everyone who was working there was kind and gracious.

$16 for an average glass of wine seems steep. Live music with lots of musicians, I guess if this is your scene, it would be fun. Let’s just say when they played a 50’s classic, people knew the words and were dancing. It also doubles as an art gallery although it appeals to a specific taste in art as well. Would not go back, but if this is your thing, have fun!

Really enjoyed the quality wine and the quality people. This place supports the local artists and being an arts community it is very nicely presented.
The wine is quite nice and presents very well. I really appreciated the Pinot Gris and their specialty blends.
Check out the live music on the weekend. Saw this young couple “Lawrence and Clare”. Oh wow were they talented and adorable.
Make this a go-to when you visit Idyllwild!
