Immerhin ist der Lookout praktisch neben der Strasse. Zu sehen gibts nämlich nicht allzu viel. Klar hält man auf der Durchfahrt an solch einem Ort an, nötig wärs aber nicht unbedingt. Das spielt allerdings bei den 5-10min Aufenthalt keine Rolle ;)

Excellent view for quick stop. Parking in front for 8 or so cars. Short walk to overlook. Good for a 20 min stretch your legs stop. Nice more miles to Idyllwild.

We stopped to see the Indian Vista Scenic Overlook.
There were boulders, several boulders. They were attractive! How did they came here? Nobody could move these boulders. Wow!
I took a lot of pictures and even hiked a bit.
I saw some beautiful views!
A must see!

This scenic vista has a nice parking area and paved walkways. The views are spectacular in all directions. It is on the Idyllwild-Banner scenic byway, about 9 miles from Idyllwild. The trip to the viewpoint from Idyllwild is beautiful and still open (the road to Banner is closed just past the viewpoint for road repair). Well worth the trip. An added bonus: very few people. Since the road is closed there is no through traffic. We had the place to ourselves on a Friday afternoon.

Åk denna vackra väg om du kommer från kusten och åker mot Palm Springs området. Mycket sevärd och vacker utsikt som inte får missad!

On your way to Idyllwild, be sure to stop at this overlook and enjoy the peaceful views. You really do get great views from this vista and you can even walk a little down the hill for more scenary. The place is guarded by a gigantic rock that you know has been there forever - a real treat, in my opinion.

This is a super view with parking. Many other great vistas higher up, but hard to park. Walking down the hill gets you the best view, but of course watch out for snakes!

The rock-enclosed vista area has some nice views. But if you walk down the hill about 50 feet the view is amazing. It's an easy walk, not that steep, and completely worth it. THAT is your money shot.

This is a very beautiful view. The one problem is the bugs! It is nature but even with bug spray they seriously attack the you know what out of you making it difficult to stay and enjoy. If you can deal with the bugs worth your while.
