It has a mysterious appearance, a bottleneck-like entrance and a beautiful glass and stone.
I'd like to watch it more slowly, but the church part is already served after I hear the priest(?) whispering for just a minute.
It's an unreasonable operation to give priority to people with tickets who don't even know where to get them.
And once you're in, it's one minute.
I'm not glad I went because of indigestion.
The building is 5 but the system is 1.

朋友一早揸車去到石教堂參加⛪，隱藏喺星野酒店入面。外圍寧靜的氛圍，令人會不自覺收細聲量。以石建造出一個特別的教堂，內簡潔，難怪不少新人會在這裡辦婚禮。
教堂內有一層講述建築師及石教堂的歷史由來，令人更加認識到整個建築。
值得花時間來參加這個特式教堂!!!

It seems that one's impression of this church is highly dependent on whether the person gets to see its interior. The church is closed when there are weddings taking place, and it is apparently a very popular wedding venue.
The exterior is what you see in the photos, it's different but does not make a huge impression. However, the inside is extremely beautiful and unique. Layers of light pass through the windows, and vines grow on the side of the stone wall with water trickling down into a small stream that flows through the inside of the church. All you hear is the water flowing. It was so serene.
The pews and altar are made of wood for the location, and look fluid and modern.
Photos are not allowed but it does not hurt anyone to put down the phone or camera and just take in the surroundings.
I think the website could improve by setting the times when the church is open for visits. Until they do that, be prepared. If you happen to catch it when it's open, you are very lucky. Just treat it as one of those things that happen by chance and you won't be as disappointed.
I walked there from Harunire Terrace. After passing the bus top, it's uphill on the left. Google map said 5 minutes. It's more like 15 minutes. I went on a weekday at around 3:30pm. I was the last person they allowed in as they closed the church at 4pm for a wedding. I was very lucky. There was only one other person. The staff then offered to take us to the small museum in the basement, where photos are allowed.
It was a wonderful experience.

The Stone Church, Uchimura Kanzo Memorial Hall, is located in the woods on the grounds of Hotel Breston Court in Nakakaruizawa. This church was created from the idea of Uchimura Kanzo, a Meiji-era Christian, that "nature created by God is a place of prayer."
There was a wedding taking place when we visited, so we were unable to tour the interior. We were only able to see the outside of the church from a short distance away, but were awed by its design. Looking at the photos showing the interior, the church was very impressive, with soft light pouring in through arches made of overlapping stone and glass, and made us want to see it for ourselves.

I attended a wedding.
The announcement really emphasized nature, but the structure was clearly made of concrete. There was glass inlaid in and the air conditioning worked well.
The wedding music was recorded. The cobblestones were packed with mortar and were a little difficult to walk on.
The overall visual impact was impressive, and there were ferns growing inside, so I wondered if the water was intentionally running there. I thought it must be difficult to maintain.
I don't think it's such a bad facility, but the difference with the explanation (which emphasized nature) seemed comical.
It has nothing to do with the evaluation of the facility, but the priest's speech was not bad.

ナビが働かず、国道沿いのコンビニに駐車して１０分ほど坂を上る羽目になったが、エントランスのしゃれたベンチ、木立に囲まれた風の谷のナウシカのオーム型の教会を見た時ドキッとした。岩の教会は北欧で見てかなり大きかったが、１５分ほど待って結婚式が終わり中に入るとこじんまりとした中にも荘厳さを感じた。
内部の写真撮影は禁止と書いてあるし、案内人も忠告しているのに構わず撮る人がいて残念だった。

息子夫婦の結婚式で伺いました。
石の教会は素晴らしかったが、ピンヒールでの石畳は最悪で、全然上手く歩けなかったです。
結婚式している時は写真を撮ってはダメなのがとても残念でした。
バージョンロードが変わってて、みんなが居る所より上に上がってから下がって来る様になっていたが、上がって行く通路が1人づつしか通れない幅らしく一緒に並んで歩けない。なので、始まった直ぐから違和感を感じながらのスタートだった。
あっという間に結婚式は終わってしまいました。

2020年9月の3連休 友人の結婚式にお招ばれしました。
コロナ禍ということもあり、パーソナルスペースを意識した座席配置でした。
午前中のお式でしたが、光が差し込んでとても明るく、植物が繁っていて、不思議な雰囲気でした。
花嫁さんがお父様に手を引かれ、左側から坂道を登って行くのですが、牧師様のお言葉につい涙が溢れたのを覚えています。
女性にアドバイス
教会の内外ずっと石畳で、ピンヒールが傷つきダメになりました💦

Hi, I plan to visit Stone Church on Friday, November 22, 2019.
but I just found out that the Church is close on Friday, Saturday and Sunday...
Is that true ?
Please advice when and what the best time to visit the Church

You can visit from 9am to 6pm.
Guided tours are not held on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
