น่าจะเปลี่ยนชื่อเป็น "หาดขยะ"...น่าผิดหวังจริงๆ ที่เห็นขยะจำนวนมากซัดขึ้นฝั่งและในน้ำ ห้องน้ำสกปรก ใช่ เป็นเรื่องดีที่มี doggos หลุดออกจากสายจูงเพื่อให้พวกมันวิ่งได้ แต่ถังขยะกลับทำลายมันเสียจริงๆ น่าเสียดาย

Trash Beach

Should be renamed “trash beach”… really disappointing to see so much rubbish washed up on the shore and in the water. Bathrooms are filthy. Yes it’s nice to have doggos off leash so they can run but the trash really ruins it, pity.

East Long Beach is a Dog owners "heaven"
Why : MANY dog friendly recreation areas AND Dog OK eat and drink establishments
1.Rosie is a "3 'due to general aesthetics of the area..but does a DOG
care?.IT IS Leash Free weeee! BEWARE the Ocean ave area
(From Granada Ave.to Termino Ave.) -suffering from homeless &spike in Crime.
2. SAFER areas OK to walk dog on leash :Around the other E Long Beach water close areas ..Where locals go): Around Marine Stadium : LARGE Free and SAFE parking area..LOTS of open green , The Colorado lagoon has beautiful trails and on-leash dogs OK.
Dog eat and drink fun: Belmont Shore sidewalks get crowded = keep tight control when walking there.Most eat and Drink venues in Belmont Shore are Dog friendly..but try to sit at a table away from other dogs...there are lots of dogs frequently in attendance.
Dog Hotels = Lots of them
RV parking: The Best bet is Bolsa Chica St Beach is 6 mi.Close = safe , clean, lots of space.E Long Beach is "Tight" so if you are travelling by Large vehicle =Careful
If you have a smallish Dog( less than 20 lbs) it is a great option to Uber /lyft and hold pooch on Lap.."Drop-Get best at parking lots NOT at Street corners and alleys.

Give it a 3.5 stars. Rosie beach has a dog and only human section. The is also street parking spaces and parking lot. The parking lot is meter. However, the street parking spaces are free and close walking to the water. Coming from the east coast where the water is cold in Aug. The water in Long Beach is warm. The view of the beach isn't the greatest because of the oil tankers parked in the ocean. If you can get passed that the beach is great. White sandy beach. Lots of wind surfers there. Long Beach is more of a locals place. Public bathrooms and fresh water to rinse.

A Dog’s Beach

This was a very large beach easily accessible from the parking lot. Street parking along Ocean was free but in the lot it was 50 cents for every 15 minutes. Pay by the space number and no dashboard ticket needed. The walk to the ocean was further than we thought. We had to cross over two paved bicycle/walking paths before finding our spot. The sand was soft and fine which made it nice to walk barefoot. A few cruise ships were anchored offshore along with a couple of disguised islands (oil drilling?). The beach was quieter than we expected so we had a lot of space to ourselves. Our dog got to run around on his own but did not stray far from our blankets. Other dogs wandered up but did not stay long. A few other dogs were playing in the water. Overall all well behaved and a very clean beach considering it was for the dogs.

Leash free dog beach

Long Beach's only dog beach. Rosie's has plenty of beach front metered parking with long parallel parking spaces for RVs or trailers. There is a lot of sand that separates the parking lot from the ocean, there are no fences though, I feel there's enough separation from the lot to the ocean though, not really anything to worry about. You gotta keep your dog on a leash until you hit these metal pillars then they are free to run. Long Beach is protected by a man made wall of rocks called the breakwater, built to stop the waves and calm the water for the ships coming into port, so the water at Rosie's is never too rough and has smaller waves. My dog loves to swim here and we come all the time. Keep in mind, this is a dog beach, dogs will run on your towel if you are laying out, so if you are gonna get mad about a wet dog and some sand, maybe don't plan a beach day for yourself, this if all about the doggsssss :)

*** They do not have dog water fountains, so make sure you bring your own water!

Where a pet deserve's it's own independence from the leash. Come to Rosie's Dog Beach just for that! A nice way for your dog to socialize with others as well. Also a fabulous way to see other kind of breeds.

You can let your dog run and play in the water and socialize with other dogs. My miniature schnauzer, Darla loved it...even though she doesn't like to get wet!

A dogs paradise!!!

My boyfriend and I decided to do a 9 day road trip with our large breed dogs from BC, Canada. When we rolled into California we started researching a place where we could let the dogs really have fun after just being allowed road side pee's for the last 24 hours. My dogs went bonkers with excitement. The waves arent too rough. I didnt find there to be undertow. The sand was soft and the dog section was pretty bid. There were tons of dogs there to socialize with. I saw one altercation but most nice dogs.
There is fresh water up at the bathrooms near the parking lot.
The parking lot was a paid lot but I remembering thinking the price was very reasonable.
It was so great that when we looped by thru Long Beach again on our way back North we stopped in with some chairs and picnic so our dogs could really get tuckered out.
