As described, great dive bar, excellent music, good prices for drinks in Hollywood, went in Friday afternoon customers friendly, bartender not so much, asked a simple question about a drink, he gave me a look as to why are you asking this question? It's obvious he plays to the regulars and thats too bad, if Bob thinks reputation will bring people in, with bartenders like him? I'll go again when he's not there maybe they have others who actually like customers I mean frolic does mean - cheerful, merry, or playful, the look on the bartenders face was anything but and it wasn't that busy either, still a must to visit when in town

My wife and I were visiting Hollywood October 2022. We saw Frolic Room Bar on Hollywood Blvd and I remember hearing about this bar from YouTube videos so I was so pumped to try it out! We went in super excited to try some good drinks. We sat down and asked the bartender for a cocktail menu, he replied we don’t have one. So I asked him to give us some options for cocktails that he could make so we could decide, he said “hey man this is a dive bar, we only do shots and beer so what do you want”. We just got up and left. This bar was mentioned many times online for its cocktails and even has cocktail in neon light in front. Disappointed all around.

Excellent place to stop and have a beer in a relaxed environment. Step off of the boulevard and gather your thoughts in a chilled place.

I've been passing this dive bar for decades and this was my first time in here. The Pantages next door was crowded with patrons heading to see Hamilton, I'm glad they didn't clog this bar or I would've never gotten in. It's a small bar and dark just like any other dive, and the prices show it. I ordered two Blue Moon beers on tap and they were only $5 each, what a deal.

I plan to return this summer (2020). I love this place. Got to drink with some washed up dude from the old Hollywood Squares show, probably back in the 70's. Good times.

This is a great bar. Looks like a dive from the outside (which I like to be honest) but inside it is really nice and cozy. Overall good, friendly service and you will meet some interesting people in this place. Was in the bar twice until closing.

Lovely welcoming bar! We only intended to go in for one drink and ended up staying all afternoon. Staff and customers all very friendly. Would highly recommend!

I live in Lafayette, CO, but this is my bar! My friends, and I, came to this bar for a few days when Dead and Co played the Hollywood Bowl, this past July. We did three days in a row, Torak was our bartender and he was great! Each day, we met other peeps, had great conversation, and left being on a first name basis with several fellow patrons. The drinks were cheap, the bar is a landmark, and Hollywood institution... I mean, this was Bukowski's watering hole! Man, I was sold!!! I will always stop here when in LA. This time I stopped in with my wife and there was Torak, his eyes met mine and I got a big smile, with hand extended for a shake. I said, "You can't possibly remember me, from 6 months ago...", he said, "I do!" to which I replied, "What's my drink?" and he nailed it! Torak is bartender's, bartender!! Props to you my friend!!! Both my wife, and I, got into great conversations, and left on a first name basis with a bunch of people, it is just that kind of place. I am not a bar guy, at least not as a middle aged adult, but I will never go to LA and not stop at The Frolic room. It may be 1000 miles away, but it is the bar where the bartender knows me, knows my drink, and there are a bunch of friends I have not met yet, (and some I have). I cannot speak highly enough about it :)

Found this bar on passing, and ended up there a while! Had a great time drinking a cold one, and the service was impeccable! Troy the bartender was the best!
