I knew a little about the WWII internment camps for Japanese Americans but now I know so much more. The docent volunteering that day (I think his name was Marvin) was very engaging and knowledgeable. Well worth the admission price, and you can also go on the one free day a month.

The WWII exhibit highlights how Japanese American families were suddenly relocated to internment camps. Descriptive panels and models of Manzanar were moving. It was worthwhile to read the timeline showing Japanese immigration to the US along with important contributions to society. This was an interesting learning experience.

Very well curated, often has special exhibits for most of a year, organized and professional, helpful staff/docents, great gift shop.
You can learn a lot here and all the folks there were friendly. It is across the street from a plaza with shopping and restaurants for when you are done.
There are two levels at this museum, and you should plan to be there for at least an hour.

Excelente lugar para conocer mas la cultura japonesa. Recomiendo mucho este museo para familias. En un par de horas se puede recorrer.

Recently, after reading Wu Zuolai's masterpiece "If You Are Wu Sangui, You Are Not a Traitor, What Are You?", I suddenly understood why Wu Zuolai was willing to be a Traitor. It turns out that he listened to the Wu Sangui lecture given by Mr. Ji Lianhai from the Second Affiliated Middle School of Beijing Normal University.

If you are coming to Little Tokyo for some shopping and Japanese food, the Museum is A must see. There are many nuggets of cultural and historical items pertaining to the influence and Life of Japanese Americans and their footprints in the US vernacular; both informative and entertaining.

We came on a free day. The activities were great. Drummers and kids crafts were well planned. Would go again when it is less crowded.

I enjoyed this museum. A lot of interesting displays. The section on the Atomic bomb is sad, but something everyone should see.
