Fantastic bike tour with a local guide

The ride was great. A little too far for me as although I've cycled all my life, i've not been doing so much recently, but can't complain because the description warned me.
On the other hand I wouldn't have wanted to miss any of it. The whole ride was really interesting and Art was a knowledgable and enthusiastic guide on lots of subjects. Art, culture, politics, history.
I really enjoyed the variety too, and there was a lot of that.
Also the love for the street art we saw all along the route - was really good to see.
Definitely gave me some feel for LA and some memories that will last.

Excellent tour

This was my second taco tour with Art, and I brought 2 colleagues with me to share the experience. They are both born and raised in Whittier, 15 miles from Boyle Heights where we did the tour, and they couldn’t believe how much they learned. The places we visited to eat tacos were all so different, and incredibly delicious. The things that make this tour so special is what we learn about the history area, and beginnings of Los Angeles. It’s about 9 miles of biking, only a couple of inclines, and you feel very safe biking. I highly recommend this tour, I’ll be back to do it a third time!

Fabulous tour

We’ve done tours all over the world and this was one of our all-time favorites way too much delicious food. Great commentary on the Hispanic and Jewish roots of Boyle Heights. We felt far away from home and experienced a part of LA we would have never seen on our own.

Awesome bike tour - a must do!

Went on the taco bike tour today; great tour, 3.5 hours long and so much food!! Really informative guide, and loved going to places that I wouldn’t have gone on my own. Went with my sister and cousin whilst visiting LA. Definitely a great alternative to the usual touristy bike ride, think it’s great to have seen something a little more alternate! Thanks guys!!

Super Bike Tour!!

Art and Adrian were superb, taking us to Super yummy tacos and taking us on a history lesson on LA and Boyle Heights.

My family (4 teens) had such a wonderful time, and the tacos were unbelievably yummy!! We really had such a good time, and we saw a part of LA that we would never have ever visited on our own.

Highly recommended for anyone who wants to learn more about Latina culture in LA and have great tacos at the same time!!!

Fantastic Bike Ride Graffiti, History, Culture, Architecture

We did private tour 9 people. La Cycle Tours extremely accommodating with time and tour. Great narration with portable speaker by leader with safety person bringing up rear. Special bike for the birthday guy. Wonderful mix of history culture with great local knowledge. Saw a tremendous amount, Art district warehouse district, flower district, clothing district, skid row, broadway district etc. I asked and we stopped for coffee at cool place. Riding was flat mostly off busy streets, (although some but felt fine) crazy graffiti alleys, interesting buildings was great. Everyone on tour had fantastic time. If you have a birthday or special occasion, ask them about a private tour, they can arrange some fun/funky things. Next time Taco tour!

The Taco Tour is incredible!

My wife and I did the Taco Tour on Sunday September 29, 2019 and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. Art is a great tour guide with encyclopedic knowledge of the Boyle Heights (and LA in general) neighborhood's food scene, history and culture. This will probably be the best thing you do in LA! The bike riding was easy and tacos/dessert at all five stops could not be more delicious. Art took us into the Mexican market and Mariachi Square, it was so unique you might think you were in Mexico City for a brief time. It's hard to quite capture how great this tour is. Simply put, do not miss your opportunity to do this, if you love tacos and having wonderful cultural experiences. And I would know because I lead food tours back home in Boston! Important to note that the whole experience took us nearly 4 hours so factor that into your plans.

I did it for the tacos

So, I hate outside. I don't like the sun, but I was tasked with finding a fun and unique company outing. I realized everyone I work with is really sporty and was trying to find a good compromise.

I did some research and found this taco tour. I learned a lot about the history of Los Angeles, my hometown, and got to eat some of the most delicious tacos I've ever eaten - and I am very picky about my tacos.

Everyone loved it. I didn't hate the bike ride, and I loved the food. It was a win - for someone who hates outside. :D

I highly recommend this tour.

An excellent way to explore the city

Great tour and a very fun way to explore a large city as LA. Art had a great local knowledge of the different art pieces around the city. Highly recommended tour for everyone.

Falsely advertised

I was really looking forward to a fun birthday activity with my partner. We found the taco tour, the reviews looked great so I booked it once I saw the day and time we were interested in was available. Being from out of town I booked a hotel and evening activity nearby, since tacos would be at the start of the day. Hours later, I recieved an email from Art telling me the day and time I selected was not an option, and I should choose another day. Soon after that I received another email from trip advisor letting me know my tour was cancelled. I was hoping this would be a blast, instead I have to leave a negative review. Having a business where services are falsely advertised is bad business!
