I remember taking a large inflatable raft there many years ago. The rule in general for County Parks is as follows: Boating To prevent the spread of quagga and zebra mussels into Santa Clara County reservoirs, boating is carefully regulated. Vessels must originate from a permissible area within the State of California. Operators must present proper registration or documentation of vessel origination. And, the vessel must pass a vessel inspection. Our reservoirs are open on a seasonal schedule that may vary due to changing water levels. Make sure you understand our rules and regulations before you travel to a Santa Clara County reservoir. If you still have questions, call us (408) 355-2200. Sorry. I do not know the answer to that because when I went to the park, I walked there using the Los Gatos Trail. When you walk to the park using the Los Gatos Trail, there is no entrance fee.

I have never paid an entrance fee. There is plenty of parking on the streets surrounding the park and we just walk in.

There are several very large grassy areas perfect for flying your quad copter. Stay away from Oakmeadow areas because that is where there are many small children and families. I have never seen a drone beige flown however if it is over the lake I would be surprised if anyone has a problem. Come into the park off of University Avenue that is the closest to the lake and far less crowded. When in doubt call the Vasona Rangers
