Stopped in Mountain View for one night after flying into San Fran airport.
Found this and stopped for lunch in the cafe.
Ordered fish and chips. Very nice but not like our fish and chips in the UK
Lovely outdoor seating and very clean.
Walking around the lake on a sunny day was very relaxing. You could walk for miles.
If I lived near would be here all the time

This is my go-to place for a scenic walk from a few years now. Best time to visit this place is around sunset. You could see bunch of different colors and reflections. Water looks gorgeous. This has plenty of walking and biking trails that are well connected to Steven Creek's trail. You could witness plenty of ducks, seagulls, and rabbits in the area. There is a dog park at the entrance as dogs are not allowed next to the lake. Imagine the fights dogs would have with tons of ducks in the area! :) Adding some pictures.

This is a beautiful spot for a picnic or to rent a boat or to walk around the lake. The walk around the lake is simple, easy and beautiful. You can also go out to some of the back trails such as the Bay Trail and then the Adobe Creek Loop Trail for some easy hikes and bird watching. Bring a mask, it is usually crowded and a jacket as it can get quite breezy and cold out near the bay. Note: When we were there, at least, the restrooms were still open.

We went to the Shoreline Lake Boathouse in Mountain View. This is a scenic lake in Silicon Valley. One can rent boats to get out on the lake Its also just a scenic area. There is also a cafe nearby.

I rented a fourteen foot sailboat and took two friends out for a sail around the lake. We enjoyed the sail and saw many birds along the way. The price of $40 per hour was very reasonable. We plan to go again soon.

Having American style breakfast with a relaxing lake view is totally granted in Mountain View Shoreline Lake Boathouse cafe. They keep it nice and easy with a small menu. If you want to take your family or friends for Sunday brunch or enjoy solo a delicious egg Benedict’s with fruit for breakfast and scrumptious bread pudding with coffee for snack, then that is the place for you. there’s space for company’s lunch meetings inside, or for a small wedding in the patio, this cute place fits them all. Enjoy a Flexinet drink while watching the geese and birds walking around the lake or practice a boat sport in the lake. Adjacent to cafe and boathouse there is also picnic areas on green grass or under the trees next to the playground where you can take children to play after eating, or maybe you just want to stroll around lake, if you’re inspired enough you can even take your family pictures next to the lake, there’s space for all and you’ll leave satisfied from enjoying nature’s free gifts.

The choices for the event didnt have just family since it was my sister and our adult children so picked with teenagers, but the morning was beautiful weather and we walked around the area for a bit after ordering some tea at the Bistro.
After our walk went back to Bistro for our breakfast. We all ordered something different and all the food was delicious. We received great service and view was serene.
Will be back again.

Als Ausflugtipp ist der Shorlaine Park wirklich empehlenswert. Am Ende der road wartet ein kleiner See mit einem Boathouse, bei dem die Zeit vergessen werden kann.

The food is fine and healthy, and the patio is delightful after a several-mile hike along the shore. Many birds ... and birders. Take your binoculars!
