Most of the smaller wineries require reservations, I would call or email the ones you want to go to, so you aren't turned away. OBrien and Venge require reservations, groups of four or less may be able to just walk in for a tasting in other wineries. Enjoy

Best to reserve tastings well in advance at O'Brien's, small and intimate, as opposed to Castelo. Do it on line or by phone in advance. O'Brien's is very close to Yountville, but you will need to drive.

I would recommend the Venge, Pride and Vincent Arroyo wineries, I not sure about them being vegan. We had a rental car and drove ourselves, some people had a driver tour them instead of the bigger van tours. We stayed at a bed and breakfast in the town of Napa called the Old world inn was nice you can find reviews of it listed under Hotel Napa Valley Good luck and enjoy your trip

There are trade offs to visiting in February. The valley is fairly empty then so you can get discounts at hotels and personal service at all the wineries (we give personal service all year round as we are small and only by advance reservation). However, it will be cold - around 45 during the day and mid-30s at night) and hopefully rainy. The vines will be dormant so you will not see any greenery or grapes. A great time to come to Napa Valley is June. Because of graduations, etc. June is a slower month than May, but will be warm and the grapevines will be fully grown out with foliage and the young grape clusters will be green and visible. Kay, Thanks for asking regarding your baby. Unfortunately, we do not allow anyone under 21 to our tours and tastings as a policy. We pride ourselves on providing a low-key and tranquil environment for our guests and some babies are interruptive to this environment. I suggest you try some of the larger, more public wineries such as Mondavi that will be happy to accomodate you and your baby. I hope you enjoy your visit to Napa Valley. Bart O'Brien

Unfortunately, no. Our policy is to require everyone who visits to be over the age of 21. The purpose of this is to keep a serene environment for our other guests - not that your daughter would interrupt this, but other teenagers would and we have to set a limit at a specific age as a policy. The larger wineries such as Mondavi should be able to accommodate you. Thank you for your understanding.
