Wanted to practice shooting and this is the place. Very safe range, A large selection of rental guns and they also sell the ammo and targets. You are provided ear protectors and safety glasses but you can also bring your own. If you bring your own gun or rifle, they must be in secure carrying case. Sheriffs come to practice here.

Iron Sights is a very professional indoor shooting range and they offer military/first responder discounts which is quite convenient for me and my husband. They also offer individual and family memberships which is nice if you like to shoot often. It is a little pricey if you’re renting the firearm and purchase their ammunition, but overall worth the price. This is especially true if you’re going there to figure out what kind of handgun is best for you because they have all different brands and sizes of handguns to shoot. You can even rent various rifles at Iron Sights which we thought was really cool! Obviously, weapon safety and handling is very important so pay special attention to the procedures the employees explain. My husband and I will likely be return customers and recommend trying it out for yourself!

As a novice shooter I wasn't sure what to expect. Our instructor (Tom) was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He took the time to patiently explain how the range worked and he explained the various firearms and gun safety. He recommended a pistol that he thought would work well for us and he coached us through the initial shots.He checked back on us later on to see how we were doing.
The facility is clean and has a large selection of different firearms to rent.
There were three in our group and I was pleasantly surprised how affordable the afternoon was.
I will certainly be going back.

Spent a couple hours here on the range with a variety of pistols. Staff were very friendly, range was very clean and well lit and firearms in great condition. After shooting we got to spend a few minutes with Chris (?) talking about pistols as my friend is looking to purchase but not sure what would be best. He showed her a variety of firearms, explaining each one and why it might be considered and answering all our questions. He was very knowledgeable, professional and patient - great guy.

I'm surprised when you search for this gun range that the review that comes up for Tripadvisor is 1 star. Yet you click on the link and find out only ONE reviewer has given it that rating.
This is a no frills no nonsense range experience that is sorely missing elsewhere in southern California. I have yet to meet someone behind the counter who didn't know what they are talking about. And the reality is most of the employees are quite knowledgeable about the firearms they sell and shooting in particular.
I have purchased two firearms from them and their prices are less than MSRP although more than you might pay online. Nevertheless, to find more rare pieces like a CZ 75B SA 40 S&W, or a Kimber 10mm when most places don't even carry the ammo. You can rent virtually any weapon legal to shoot in California, and purchase ammunition, targets and supplies to boot.
There are two ranges; rifle and handgun. The rifle range maxes out at 25 yards, while the handgun range you can push to 20. The lanes are tired, and the range controls are analog. So if you want bells and whistles, this may not be the venue for you. But, if you're there to shoot and work on your skills rather than pose, its definitely where you need to be. Also, they charge by the lane/shooter, not by the hour. So there's no need to watch the clock.
One thing I really appreciate are the lanes are visible through glass from the store. I've seen range wardens intervene on several occasions when shooters are being unsafe, brandishing weapons outside the lane, or shooting inappropriately. That is more than I can say for the other ranges in NC San Diego where staff observes via closed circuit TV, or rather, doesn't observe at all.
No metal cased ammo. Brass only. And for rifles, I consider 25 yards pretty short. Other than that, this is my go to destination for handgun practice. A final note, D-Lead soap in the restroom - THANK YOU!

I was taken here by a local work contact. The range is run by a dedicated and informative team of enthusiasts. You can hire guns to fire or as in our case, if come with a local, shoot your (their) own.
We had several guns at our disposal both long guns & hand guns. I enjoyed challenging myself to get better during the evening with the variety of guns available to me.
I would highly recommend this range for the friendly & knowledgeable staff who will look after the novice & expert alike.

Went shooting with my friend here. Was busy but was able to get in. No issues for me being out of state. they know the process, Were not overbearing. Looked like a little chaos coming in but it was well organized once you notice the process, My only issue was i was hoping my shooting was a little better. But i guess I’m better than most. Easy in and easy out. thanks for the bandage. Hurt my finger.

Coming from South Orange County, this range is a breath of fresh air. They are very friendly and their prices are about half of the ranges in Orange County and they are only about 35 minutes away in Oceanside. No restrictions on Rifles up to and including a .308 and you can rapid fire. The staff is Knowledgeable and they do have many guns to rent along with to purchase. I have purchased two guns there and their prices are very difficult to beat.

My first time going to a shooting range was a good experience. The staff was helpful, quick, and thorough. Choosing a gun to try was overwhelming but I think it was @ $15 per gun and a couple dollars for targets (they even have zombie ones). The headset for ear protection was provided. They give classes if you want to purchase a gun and I think more classes are offered. Nothing to compare to so two thumbs up for me.

Took a gun safety class with my wife, and then shot pistols out on the range. Instructor was outstanding and all the staff was incredibly professional. Can’t wait to go back!
