We had just arrived in town and after settling into our rental house, we came over here to get a sense of things to do in the area. The staff was very helpful and gave us plenty of brochures and flyers to help plan our downtime. We were able to get a good sense of what was worth it and what could be skipped. Very highly recommend stopping here if in the area!

Gorgeous beaches, lovely strolls along the pier and watching lots of surfer’s. Did a couple of scenic drives along the road that perimeters the pier and ocean. Biked along the beach path for miles enjoyed the walruses, they have their own dock by the marina. We stayed in our RV at Guajome State Park - a San Diego County park. Beautiful park with trails and a lake.

Loved stopping here to get ideas and information. The gentleman greeting us was super friendly and knew the area well. Lots of pamphlets and information available. Decorated very California style. Good location as there are several lodgings in the area. Make this a stop if you want suggestions for activities or just a good orientation to the area.

I stopped by the welcome center to get information as I was setting on a drive of the Pacific Coast Highway. The person helping me was very knowledgeable and friendly. She shared great insights about my trips. Because of her I had great trip.

This center has a lot of wonderful free information for many locations in California and some information for surrounding state's tourist attractions. Easy access to park and very nice, helpful staff. I love this Welcome center and have visited several times over the years!!

Ask for good restaurant and a place to stay in San Diego. The lady gave us excellent places and was very friendly.

Diane wax so sweet when we entered. She greeted us with a huge smile. She showed brochures. She and I spoke Italian. We ate our lunch on the benches outside.

She, the worker there, was great (sorry, I didn't get her name). She was very informative (tons of literature, too) and an excellent representative of Oceanside. As we exited, she gave us a really nice Oceanside shopping bag.
As an aside, we had looked all around town for some "local" postcards. We finally found some at a small shop, but there was only one design. The Welcome Center had numerous Oceanside postcards at a great price: 3 for $1.

We stopped by the Welcome Center in Oceanside this past Saturday to check it out. It's easy to park and easy to find. Right off the freeway on the Coast Highway and next to an In-and-Out Burger and lodging options. We felt so welcome as we were greeted by the friendly staff. Inside is a nicely designed gift shop area, information center, and even a vintage restored VW Bug. A useful charging center and bottled water machine was available and there were also lots of maps provided. Everything was so clean including the bathroom. Parking lot is ample and even includes a bicycle air pump station. We got a couple of free magazines on the way out. Staff was super helpful and answered all of our questions. Strongly recommended.
