What a delightful way to be introduced to the distinctive style of Palm Springs. Kurt Cyr shared his love for his community and the architectural nuances which makes Palm Springs so unique. It was a wonderful experience!

Learn about Palm Springs from a designer

Kurt was so knowledgeable about the neighborhoods, history, architects, and architectural styles. We learned so much about the areas and the people who lived there. I'd love to take another tour with him and maybe go inside some of those beautiful buildings. Highly recommended!

Great learning experience

Our guide, Kurt is exceptionally knowledgeable about Palm Springs 1940s onwards architectural home design. He himself is a designer which gives him so much information and details. The tour managed to include so many homes and areas, all in 1.5 hours. Kurt was kind enough to stop on a few occasions for important photo opportunities.
Receiving an email with more information on the areas, and homes was a big plus.
The van was comfortable and water was provided if needed.
The tour was good value for your money, considering that the group is small and can be geared towards your interest.

High praise for the interior/exterior tour

We went on the interior/exterior and it was wonderful. We enjoyed seeing the layouts of the homes, as well as the architectural features that make this area unique. Kurt is extremely knowledgable about the architecture and history of the area, making the tour informative and enjoyable. He has been living in Palm Springs for decades and clearly loves the area and midcentury modern architecture. My husband and I talked about the tour all afternoon.

We thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend Kurt's Interior/Exterior tour. He's a very knowledgeable and engaging guide who led us to learn more about the history of Palm Springs and features of architectural styles in various neighborhoods throughout the city.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Kurt, who is an extremely knowledgeable and vivacious guide. The time spent with him exploring 3 different interiors was a highlight of our short Palm Springs vacation.

These tours are the ones you need in Palm Springs. I did the interiors and the architecture tour and both were excellent. Learned so much and Kurt was an amazing guide with incredible knowledge. Highly recommend!

Best tour! Top of any activities list in Palm Springs. Worth ever penny. Fantastic tour plus Kurt is so knowledgeable about architecture plus being very charming. We r went on not 3 fabulous homes. What a treat!

Mid Century Tour should be FIRST thing you do!

Kurt's "Mod Squad" Mid Century Architecture tour ought to be the FIRST thing you do once you unpack your bags in Palm Springs. His in-depth architecture, history and Palm Springs culture knowledge is expressed smoothly and in very understandable terms. Kurt puts the entire city and its history into perspective. This then allows you to better see and understand Palm Springs for the balance of your stay. DO NOT hesitate, just do it! You will be glad you did.

Mod Squad Tour Rocks!

Whoa….what a treat! If you are visiting Palm Springs, Ca , and like architecture/design, then this Mod Squad tour is for you! Tour guide Kurt, a designer himself, shared his knowledge and interest of mid century modern architecture with brief history/vocabulary info as we proceeded to our first neighborhood. Exterior materials and characteristics of the home styles were explained. So enjoyed viewing home interiors, decor, use of space. What an opportunity to visit such unique homes and learn from such a terrific, qualified guide! Thanks for the experience, Mod Squad!
