Visiting Pismo Beach for a long weekend and went exploring in town. Stumbled on Sans Liege. We were welcomed in with our 2 large dogs. Spaced out tasting room with soft jazz playing. Very relaxed and not pretentious. Wines were all delicious: both whites and reds. Great options representative of the region. Loved their Offering & Adversary-both are coming home with us.

The staff and the wine were great! The gals there were very knowledgeable about he winery and the process of diff wines. My husband and I would come again.

This is one of the few wine tasting places right in Pismo Beach. It has
a relaxed pleasant atmosphere & is just a short walk from the Pier &
restaurants. I believe that you can also bring in some simple outside
food, like a slice of Pizza...especially since there is a fantastic
Italian one right next door.

These wines are wonderful, especially the red blends. The tasting room is comfortable and a great place to wait for your table to be ready at at the great restaurants with one block of the tasting room. You can taste or purchase a glass.

If you like Rhone style wines (and you really should) this is a place for both value and quality. They have 3 levels of wines starting with their lower price "Groundwork" wines, most of which as good or better than most wines costing twice the price, usually $20 or less. They have a middling range they put out only occasionally and then they have their top quality wines which have different labels but are called Sans Liege. The latter ones in Reds are usually between $40 and $50 but again are as good or better than a lot of wines that may be twice that. Whites San Liege are usually between $28 and $45. I have not visited their Paso Robles Tasting room, but the Pismo Beach is a larger than average room where you can taste a lot of different wines including some of the upper price ones. Don't remember the tasting fee, but didn't strike me as unfair. Seating was comfortable and service was good. Hours are excellent and you can taste at other places and then come back here for a little more if you are so inclined. Going out to dinner at a place with good food and a bad wine list? Then this is is really a good place to go.

Sans Liege was our last stop of the day because it is open later than others. We had a wonderful time. Service was information and fun. We ordered a delicious cheese plate that paired perfectly with our wine tasting. There were three different flights we could chose from. I would go back and try the others. Our server also let us taste one of the wines from the other flight because I was interested in it. and ended up buying that bottle! I would highly recommend. and the tasting notes for the wines are SO much fun.

Red, white and in between. Great wines and a fun and enjoyable tasting room. Good wine club as well. Killer syrah and some fine blends.

The blonde that works behind the counter was so rude to us. We were not doing anything wrong. This was our first stop of the day. I had asked a few questions about the wine, like alcohol percentage and where the vineyards were, and she was like, if you read the label it will tell you that.
The whole point of tasting rooms, is so that you can interact with the people who work there, they should be eager to tell you things about the winery, open to tell you about the wines, not here.
It was as if we were a nuisance because we asked things about a product she was trying to sell. When I asked to try their Rose, she informed me I would have to buy 3 bottles in order to get the tasting for free. The Rose wasn't good at all, it tasted more like pink water.
In fact most of their wines were subpar. I wasn't impressed with any of them. I always buy a bottle of wine, even if the winery is not that good, just as a courtesy. She informed us we still had to pay for the tastings, which is fine, but she said it in such a condescending voice.
After this winery, we went to Kynsi, and had the best service and their wines were excellent.

We haven't been to too many wines where we like literally every wine we try. That was the case here. In addition Alyssa our server was great! So enthusiastic and fun. The wines and the tasting weren't cheap (tasting fee waived if you buy a bottle >= $20), but they were really good.
The space had a cool vibe and we sat at bar looking out to the street where we could watch the world go by and taste some good wine.

Located a block off the Coast Highway on Price Street. This is a nice little wine tasting room with a very nice atmosphere and a friendly staff. They specialize in French Wines mostly on the dry side. Worth a stop.
