We had lunch at Alan's and it was quite fun. The servers and top notch and not in your face. Prices are what the norm is. They will not seat you until everyone is present.

Knowlegable and helpful staff, great selection of kids books from babies to teens and up. Also have some toys, games and super cute stuffed animals. They have storytime that is wonderful for little ones, check for schedule. I have found some beautiful and fun books and gifts for my grandkids here.
They will also gift wrap your purchases with lovely gift wrapping
You can stop by and browse for about an hour or less, but if you bring kids with you they may want to stay and play in the little back area too.

We take our grand kids for reading time in the mid mornings. It has lots of books and activities for sale for appropriate age groups. The staff is more than helpful to select and check out the items. It is a happy place to be.

After reading positive reviews on the bookshop, I went to check it out .
Indeed it is a lovely , big and friendly bookstore. I thought it was only for the toddlers but they also have books for the teens and adults, games, gifts. I picked a book for my grand niece and the friendly staff did a nice wrap for me, paying a little for lovely wrapping paper .

The staff here is very helpful. My grandson loves books about trucks, and they have a whole section dedicated to things that move--trucks, trains, boats, planes. Since I am little tired of reading about trucks, they were very helpful in assisting me in picking out a couple of other books that are not truck related! Highly recommend.

Their story time with costume's is fantastic. They have an unusual selection books, it is a Great place to open up a Childs imagination.

This is a place where children and parents are welcome to explore and discover the highest quality books and toys. The sales team is friendly and supportive and the merchandise is well chosen and arranged with age appropriateness in mind.

Complete children bookstore with story time, model train and everything else children. Easy two hours free parking in downtown San Carlos. A lot of eateries next doors for a bit afterwards

Take the kids! The atmosphere of this book store is welcoming, the staff is knowledgeable and you will enjoy. As a go to place for gifts, the display tables change and many times are put together by themes. Local books, travel, things to do with children. The books are laid out by ages and the Reading Bug has reading time, guest authors, places to sit and look at books and GIFT WRAPPING. There is also a subscription service, so if you have a new Mom or Dad, you can have a selection of books delivered to their home each month. I did this with my daughter who was thrilled with books for her new baby.
