Have bought the best bottles (per Ruthe suggestions) and really have had nothing to write home about... Yes I understand that she is supporting the local wineries... Something has to change .......Either the Wineries start bottling a better product or Ruthe adding to inventory other wines with taste! She could be selling a 500 bottles a day IF SHE HAD GREAT WINES!

A really nice boutique wine tasting room in Saratoga. Friendly owner, though I think the kitsch value of trying wines you can't get elsewhere is a bit overstated. It means that the bottles are really expensive, and you may not get to enjoy recommending/sharing the wines you like with friends. Between the tasting fee and the costs of the bottles, this is a pricey weekend outing, but a nice one nonetheless.

This is a new, friendly, non-snobby wine collective in downtown Saratoga that pours a selection of wines from small California wineries that don't have tasting rooms of their own. The owner is knowledgable without being pretentious and offers a cheese and salami pairing of the month with your wines. (If you love them you can purchase those as well - great option for grabbing a bottle and a mini picnic to take up to Sanborn Park.
Every month she changes the offering (check out the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/RRVCWines/info ) so it's fun coming back to explore. Often one of the winemakers will be there pouring their wines (while she pours the others). My husband enjoyed it so much the first visit that we joined the club and plan to visit often! There are free tastings and discounts on everything for members.
You can taste at the bar, sit at a wine barrel table, or even on the patio outside. I can't wait to go back!
