Makale is a town in the District of Toraja , North of South Sulawasi. This is a hugh roundabout with a pond and main attraction is the tall, hugh statue of Lakipadada in the centre. He is the " Raja Pulang Tomboro Langi a legend hero who sought everlasting life for his people. He is holding his " magical stick " Nice place to hang out in the evening with many shops & restaurants around. In the distance on top of the hill you can see the statue of Christ the Redeemer

Kolam ini pusat kota Makale. Kota kecil dan macet saat natal dan tahun baru. Di tengah kolam ada patung Lakipadada. Cukup bagus untuk foto-foto. Selain itu disekitarnya ada gereja Sion dan rumah jabatan bupati.
Saat tahun baru kolam ini jadi pusat kembang api dan dipenuhi manusia.

sampah terlihat mengapung di kolam makale, bundaran patung lakipadada, sepertinya petugas kebersihannnya tidak terlihat padahal kolam ini salah satu objek wisata toraja

Kolam plaza makale ini terletak ditengah kota makale kab. Tana toraja, sulsel. Pagi hari anda dapat sekedar jogging sembari menikmati pemandangan pegunungan yg berkabut, pada malam hari anda dapat menyaksikan air mancur serta lampu warna-warni yg spektakuler. Ditengah kolam terdapat patung pahlawan Lakipadada dan di ujung jalan kolam sebelah utara terdapat patung pahlawan Pongtiku.

kalau dikota lain tengah kota ditandai dengan alun alun maka di tana toraja ditandai sebuah kolam besar. seringkali kegiatan warga dipusatlkan disini, ada kantor pemerintahan, perbankan dan cafe cafe.

Went here just because we needed to see the centre of Makale itself. And here it is the pond, the statue and the roundabout that makes the landmark of the place. A short visit will do, to walk in the round about and take some pictures.
If you are short of time, it's ok to give it a miss.

A statue of the brave men who are the Torajan. A landmark of the Makale town. Near the statue we can find several street cafe to relax and absorb tbe surrounding.

Kolam Makale bukan sekedar kolam biasa. Dikenal sebagai Plasa Makale, tempat ini terkenal sebagai pusat interaksi masyarakat makale di pagi dan sore hari hingga malam hari, baik yang berolahraga, refreshing, berkumpul dan sebagainya. Di tengah kolam berdiri tegak patung tokoh terkenal yang menjadi simbol toraja, Lakipadada.

Lokasinya cukup strategis karena ketika baru memasuki kota makale kita langsung dipertemukan dengan bundaran kolam makale. Di dekatnya terdapat penjual kaki lima. Pemandangan sangat indah saat tahun baru dengan kembang api yng sangat menwan dan sangat indah.
