We had such a nice time cooking with Mona! Her hospitality her personality! She led us through all the steps to a great meal! Local food at it’s best! Fresh, handmade! Perfect! We loved it! I really recommend it! Bought some Curry spice she blends on her own..

Wonderful experience how to prepare curry with Mona

It was a great experience! Mona is a lovely person, she showed us to prepare sri lankan curry. We got helpful tips how to use the different ingredients in a curry. At the end we enjoyed our delicious curry and could buy Mona‘s homemade curry powder.
We totally recommend this cooking experience here in Arugam bay.

Super authentic local cooking class!

The cooking class with mona was great. We learned the basics of srilanka cuisine, the typical spices and cooking procedures. No cookbook can replace such a cooking class. Mona is very sweet and explained everything very well so that we can easily recreate the different curries at home. It was impressive to see how everything is prepared by the people themselves, from now on I see the srilanka kitchen from a different angle. Besides the interesting and varied preparation, the curry at mona was the best ;-)

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CLASS! My sister and I had the best experience with this authentic cooking class in Arugam Bay. Mona is super sweet, really patient and really good at explaining every step. She let us do all the cooking, and even showed how we could do it at home with the resources we have available. VERY HAPPY AND FULL WHEN GOING HOME :)

Très belle rencontre et partage avec Mona qui nous a expliqué les bonnes méthodes pour cuisiner les produits de son pays de manière saine et accessible à refaire chez soi. Mona est une femme passionnée qui se bat pour réaliser son rêve malgré les obstacles de son pays. Nous l’encourageons à y croire!

Mona was absolutely lovely & we thoroughly enjoyed our cooking course. Great way to spend an afternoon - learning about traditional Sri Lankan food & recipes….and finishing with delicious food!

WOW, what an experience!
First of all Mona is the sweetest and most hosting person I know.
Second, I'm a person that loves to cook and eat and she showed us how she cooks everyday for years and I was amazed ( I won't say by what, you will have to go).
Very cozy house and very good food.
Definitely recommended!
