The museum is now open--the months of June, July, and August. The hour are limited to Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Closed during remainder of the week. Good collection, but found hours inconvenient. I'm posting this as something of an update to a prior post where I questioned if the museum was still viable and open for business.

A wonderful few hours walking through with a few gentlemen who knew their history. It is an amazing collection of history. I hadn't been in 15 years but I'm sure we will go back before the fall closing.

Tried visiting this feature, but building appears deserted. Parking lot is becoming overgrown, and a cable across entry gateway. Windows appear blocked off and no contact information, just "in case."

Our grandson loves vehicles and enjoyed climbing on the tractor. Also we loved the various interesting displays about early farm life.

This was a really great place! It only costs $5 to get in but there are hours worth of amazing historical relics. Cars, rifles, tractors, pianos, and some of the most comfy chairs ever. LOL.
The staff are very knowledgeable and are ready and willing to share their passion and experience with everyone young or old. And they let you (cautiously) experience first hand some of the musical instruments and cars!!
We really enjoyed the museum and the awesome customer service. This place is a gem of Longmont!!

6/29/18. Went to Car Museum.Was way amazed.Took my client Ed. Commented, later that 100 years from now, the cars on the road "today", will be absolutely worthless, compared to what is in this Museum. Thank you. Well worth going to. Once you've been there, and sign in, you get to go back for free, 2nd time. Julian Alexander. Lafayette.

I love going through the Doherty museum. It is a car museum with a great display and a lot of cars. They are not open on a regular schedule, so check before you go!

When we visited, the volunteer showed us around and told us about the cars. I was so impressed by the knowledge of the volunteer and the pristine quality of the classic vehicles. It was a pleasure to visit this hidden museum.

This is a great place to visit. The old cars are wonderful to see, along old farm equipment. They also have old organs and pianos.
It's well worth the time. They are only open in the summer, so check the time and dates.

Fun place to spend a few hours wandering around looking at cars from the early 1900s, farm equipment, players pianos, etc! Memory lane for my husband as he spotted a Model A Ford like he had in high school. Beautifully restored Roll Royce was spotted! $5 for the visit and free re-visits.

Dougherty Museum is an odd bird. They are only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday through the summer months. There is a $5 entrance fee, but that is well worth it.
