The worst beach filled with garbage and they give out a parking ticket for $150. Who would ever want to go here

We visited on a cloudy morning as part of a 2 day trip to Norwalk/Stamford. We read reviews in advance so were not shocked by the $40 out of state parking fee. The beach is clean with multiple amenities such as clean restrooms, playground, splash pad, fishing piers and lifeguards. There is a also a nice walking path and views to small islands and marinas. There are ample tables and benches to sit at as well. Bring along beach chairs etc. to fully enjoy your experience.

So disappointed. First of all, it’s $65 for the day. Sixty. Five. Dollars. And If you’re not a resident, you have to park in a squared off area of the parking lot. In the farthest location from the actual entrance to the beach. Even after paying $65.
In fact most beaches are ‘residents only’ so double check before you make the effort to go to one
Make sure you bring some type of water shoes. The rocks and shells are a killer on your feet.
Connecticut in general was not very welcoming and I will not be back.

A gem. As newly arrived Norwalkers, we are enamored of “our” beach. Easily accessible with a variety of beach experiences available, it’s also a great sit in the car and watch the sunset date night location in chilly or inclement weather. Shady and sunny areas, a paved boardwalk, a community green with regular events (a full moonrise is breathtaking), pier fishing, a low-tide sandbar stretching out into the harbor, boating, swimming, and outstanding fries and food from Ripka’s in season.

A beautiful beach and hidden gem — I had just finished a working day in Norwalk and picked up dinner. Instead of going back home as planned, I took a quick detour to this beach (about a 10 minute drive from downtown Norwalk) and ate while feeling the cool ocean breeze and looking out into Long Island Sound. It's a beautiful beach with a pier, plenty of places to walk, a playground, and small seafood restaurants.

Very nice beach mostly all local people which keeps it nice. Great sunsets with Pecks Ledge Lighthouse and many islands in view. Has a bar and restaurant with good lobster rolls and a nice fishing pier
Those are oyster stakes out further off the beach as Norwalk has one of the largest oyster companies Bloom & Sons which farm blue point oysters right there and Copps Island.
Please do not listen to anyone saying the water is polluted just because at low tide there may be a sulfur smell, the shell fish would be the fist to be polluted and lots people would be sick as the oysters are shipped all over the country plus clamming is done right next to the fishing pier with a permit. Enjoy.

used to go for fishing from my boat, never used their beach (so smelly) but now with 65$ for parking? lol ill use different spot

$40 to park across the street, no handicap accessibility, dirty restrooms and dirty, smelly water seems a little ambitious. Trash everywhere near the picnic areas, which is extremely inviting to sit and eat your food. You can spend the whole day at the gorgeous beaches in Madison for half. You can camp in Madison for $40.... or park overnight in Boston or NYC.
Madison is at least a clean, upscale town. Great dining, great shops, great people. Stamford is great too! After 5 trips to Norwalk, I have yet to find any place that is worth $40 to park.
The best part... we tried to ask a “parking attendant” for assistance, and he spoke zero English, and did not understand Spanish??
You need to drastically improve your accommodations to reflect your “luxury” pricing. Norwalk should be embarrassed.
Madison is at least a clean, upscale town. Great dining, great shops, great people. Stamford is great too! After 5 trips to Norwalk, I have yet to find any place that is worth $40 to park.

Fun and clean beach. Good mix of sand and grass with some tables on the boardwalk. Parking costs money to non-residents. Playing ground for children and dinner for lunch. We had a great time.
