The Tiberius Gorge is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is 100% worth seeing!!Due to the delay of the other group participants, we got a book about the discovery and protection of the gorge, as well as an exclusive guided tour of this impressive landscape for two. Our guide, originally from one of the villages around the gorge, led us through the gorge on foot and by inflatable boat, and finally we were able to take a refreshing dip in the place where the “brigade” (predecessor of the Mafia) had already refreshed itself in earlier times. Along the way we learned a lot about the fauna and flora of the Tiberius Gorge, as well as about the land, people and culture of Sicily. We rounded off our tour through the gorge with an extended stay at the base station, where you can enjoy delicious freshly prepared panini at very moderate prices, table football, as well as a friendly dog named Tiberio and a cuddly cat to pet.

This tour was one of our favourites across the whole holiday, and we treated the north Sicily trip advisor recommended excursion page like a to do list!
The English guide was perfectly understandable and helpful. The other guides were also friendly and made an effort to help us despite our poor Italian. The 400 steps isn’t necessary- There is a shuttle bus around 2.5 euros each which is well worth using to avoid the strenuous steps in the heat.
The tour itself was excellent- for people who like an immersive experience in the natural world it is perfect. We saw eels, 3 different snakes, crabs, frogs, numerous different butterfly and red, blue and pink dragonfly species everywhere, fish, donkeys, bee eater birds and a range of plants native and special to the Madonie park.
The trip on the dinghy was also good fun and the light and fossils on the walls of the gorge were beautiful.
There’s also a small bar/cafe serving paninis, ice creams, drinks etc.
Fully recommend !

The visit was great fun thanks to the warm atmosphere of the staff and their professionalism. In particular Christian, our Guide, was very prepared and managed the tour in the most fun, interesting and safe way. Recommendation to all

We did this hike with 3 children and dog. The Guide, Angelo, accompanied us along the way explaining in detail the history of the place and showing us the beauties of the place. 2 hours of excursion really appreciated. Let's hear it for the guys who carried on this wonderful experience to share with everyone. In addition, the place also offers a refreshment point on a beautiful landscape, accessible by a very efficient shuttle service. Highly recommended.

Great experience. You spend max 30’ on a small rubber raft exploring the gorge and another 60’ walking around. Water shoes are def a must to enjoy the experience at its fullest. The guides are nice and informative although we didn’t test their English. It’s a very very recommended experience to do in one morning if you are in the neighbourhood. Advice: best to be the first in the morning, buy your water shoes on site for €12 a pair, bring some water and towel.

Exceptional exit! Everything is perfect: place, organization and our Gulianna Guide who took the time to speak in French (perfect) and Italian, our group was mixed. The place is beautiful. Come on! Thank you for this beautiful. Moment of discovery.

Great experience! Our Guide Alberto managed to make us live a unique experience, telling us in depth about the geological and naturalistic aspect of the gorges and also making us know the particular animal species that populate this wonderful place.
Super recommended the visit that takes place first on board a rubber boat that crosses the gorges and then through a walk along the Pollina river!

Quanti anni avevano i vostri bambini? Quanto è alto il livello dell'acqua del fiume? Un bambino di 3,5 anni può riuscire a camminare nel percorso sul fiume? Grazie!

in alcuni tratti il fiume è davvero molto profondo, specialmente dove sono le gole, in altri è percorribile a nuoto o camminando nell'acqua.

non credo sia possibile perchè lungo il percorso, ti assistono i gestori del loco che sono autorizzati e conoscono perfettamente i percorsi da fare!

Desidero sapere se con una Giulietta posso scendere considerato che ha un pianale basso e fino a quale parcheggio ed insomma quanto costa il tutto

La strada è pur sempre sterrata però è percorribile con la debita cautela perchè vi sono dei tratti in cui l'acqua ha scavato dei canali che è opportuno evitare.Però il parcheggio è sicuro.
