The Hill bar or Donovan's in Knocklong is a throw back to the days of a real Irish welcome where as soon as you walk through the door there's a smile and someone to chat to.
The fire is always burning and room to warm the backside on a winters evening.
The music played lightly in the background is not intrusive and quite often live music on the weekend.
It may be out of your way but well worth the visit.

I had 2 children with me 12 + 16 and to be very honest it was brilliant there was a safe place for kids to play soccer and a blow up soccer target as well also some toys for smaller ones not being a drinking person I can't say about beer but it was going down well with all around. Me all the staff there were very polite and helpful kids were treated well and free finger food and band highly recommend
