My 7 year old and I spent three days fishing with Randy and Gary. This is our second trip to fish with them because we had so much fun the first time. Randy knows exactly where to go to find the fish. Randy is great with kids and made my son feel so comfortable with him. We laughed and had several fishing contests, which my son won each time. Randy knows all about the fish in the area and taught us so much. Gary taught us how to feed the pelicans, which was so fun. We will be talking about this fishing trip for a long time. Will miss y’all until the next trip.

Chartered a fishing tour with this great company for myself, and two of my sons. We were accompanied by Bob and Carlos. They knew several places to take us where we were able to have lots of fishing success,. I’m talking catching something like 40-50 fish in a few hours kind of success. We also got to practice fishing with different techniques and different baits. It was a blast, and they even cleaned up some of our spoils and took us to a restaurant close to the port that cooked it for us for lunch. It’s a very memorable experience. I highly recommend them.

Randy was so easy to book with. Bob was our guide and was amazing and super friendly. He also had a wealth of knowledge about the local customs and culture. Carlos our boat driver and helper was also awesome. My daughter set her all time one day record with 32 caught fish on our trip. To say these guys know where to fish and what bait to use is an understatement. The water was smooth. Fantastic option for a family with pre-teen or teen kids! They even will point you to restaurant that will cook up your catch for you. Highly recommended!

Amazing experience. Easy to book, easy to find, and LOTS OF FUN. Our guide was very informative and relaxed. And on top of it all we caught fish, that always helps. I have fished around the world, and would recommend this to anyone. Great relaxing yet exciting day that ended in us eating our catch for lunch at a local restaurant.

I booked with Randy to take my son and 9 year old grandson out for a half day of fishing. It was the perfect first salt water fishing experience for my grandson. It was well organized, in calm waters, with guaranteed results. The guide, Bob, was very friendly and knowledgeable and helped make this 3 generation fishing experience unforgettable. We came home with lots of fresh fish, cleaned and ready for ceviche and a fish fry dinner. Many thanks to the helpful folks at Yucatán Snook for helping create great memories for my son and grandson!

We had a great time and it was easy to get to them from the ship. We were able to have our catch cooked and a restaurant and make it back to the ship with plenty of time! We will definitely book them on our next cruise!

Amazing, amazing. We were a group of novice plus one experienced fisherman the experience we had was a wow factor! Thanks to our guide CHRIS AND CARLOS who put us on fish the whole time. Randy and Bob are great guides who know the best spots, and are kind and informative to boot. I’d recommend this trip to anyone who is looking for a fun fishing experience. They even knew of a local restaurant that was able to prepare our catch in a variety of styles!

My Trips with Randy and Gary were exactly what I was hoping for, pro's that know their stuff. They searched for and found the tarpon and bonus tasty snook! I had 7 hookups with tarpon on the fly rod getting one to the net ! Snook on the fly too !

72 long time fisher man like to fly fish
Some one said the young tarpon are there.
Saw video catching them near the fishing pier.
Have a trip thru the cruse but ( hand lines?)
Rather do a quick 1/2 day and catch one nice one and be back on the boat!

Howdy, yes you can email me at YucatanSnook at gmail as well see our website..I do have a boat open on the 17th...The hand line trip with the cruise ship, well, look at those reviews....Yes tarpon are here but not at the pier, all inshore areas where we fish....will look forward to hearing back from you

The cool thing about our inshore fishery is, it is year round...Tarpon, snook and speckled sea trout are always on....January is a great month so if you are coming please book soon as our winter months are very very busy! Cheers to ya and we do hope we get to fish with you!

August is a PRIME month for our big tarpon in the marina area and the smaller (up to 30 pounds) back in the ria.....I so love the fishing here in the summer months.....Might be hot for you but not for our tarpon here brother!

There is a bus from Merida to progresso. In progresso you would have to take a cab to meet randy at the marina.

Do you offer any deep sea fishing charters in Progreso and if so, how much are they per person? I don't want to catch small fish - I'm looking to catch the big ones. We'll be there Dec 13th.

No we do not offer ocean tours.....I am sorry to say there is not any one here that is doing oceans tours as well. The fish that would catch that time of the year in ocean would be smaller anyway.
Our Ria tours provide fun and exciting fishing for speckled sea trout and tarpon. What we catch size wise in the Ria often is much bigger than what you would catch bottom fishing in the ocean.

My wife and I will be there 10-14-16 through 10-22-16, would like to hook up with you for some fishing, it will just be me, please provide me with contact info. and price, Also we're staying at Hotel Playa Linda's in Progresso and I'm assuming we can get a taxi from Merida airport to Progresso, but how much should that cost us, we've never flow into Progresso?
