Enjoy baseball and fans in a beautiful park with excellent seating. The Blue Rocks staff keeps you entertained even if the action on the field slows down. Watch for Mr Celery! Lots of food & beverage choices, at lower prices than many ball parks. Reasonable tickets and FREE parking. Try finding that at the big city majors.

We like attending minor league baseball games. The Blue Rocks were hosting the Blue Claws, Philadelphia Phillies, minor league team. Ble Claws won. Parking was free. Food expensive. In May we were socially distanced.

Minor league baseball up close and personnal. Not a bad seat in the house. Many things for young ones to be entertained with if too young for the game. Many themed nights thru-out the season to participate in - star wars,70's,80's,ethnic nights,etc. Regular fire work nights provide a respectful display that lasts 15-25 minutes starting after the game. Free parking. Restuarants and bars across the street. And you gotta love "celery man" after home team scores.

Nice stadium for local high A minor league Kansas City franchise. Blue Rock won the high A championship this year. There is always something going on, food is decent. Lighting could be better, and seats are ok. Atmosphere is great, fun night for baseball

Kids get tickets for the Blue Rocks games each summer as part of their summer reading challenge program. The stadium is decent and for the most part clean. General seating is bleacher seating up top behind 3rd base & has NO shade. So, that is a little rough. They have give-aways throughout the game (t-shirts, gift cards, etc) and general admission is RARELY selected to receive a prize. So we were shocked when a little girl in general admission won the grotto pizza prize this time! Prices for tickets are fair as you can get bleacher tickets for $10. Concessions are a tad expensive. We went on $1 hot dog night to help combat the expense. Game started at 6:35pm. So, we settled in and decided to head down for a hot dog about 7:15pm. I ordered the hot dog and was told that they were $3.75. I explained that the internet ad said it was DOLLAR DOG night. I was informed that the $1 hot dog promo ended at 7PM. WHAT? The first pitch is at 6:35pm and the promo ends 25 minutes into the game?? I pulled up the internet ad and it did NOT state anywhere that there was a time limit or window for the promo. What a SCAM!!
Overall, the ballpark is small. It is family friendly and is a nice hometown game. However, the games move very SLOW. AND lately, the last few years, we have found that they games are NOT very exciting in terms of plays/homeruns. Kids have been disappointed that they have not gotten to see Mr. Celery as he only comes out when the Blue Rocks score a homerun. Getting into and out of the stadium can be a bit difficult on a busy night as there is really ONLY one way in and out of the riverfront area. I did NOT like the Dollar Dog promo, as I felt it was a scam since it was not clearly advertised that there was a limited time window to purchase the hot dogs at a discounted price. However, I would recommend IF you want a small hometown baseball game experience while you are visiting the Wilmington, DE area. Their best feature is that it is family friendly and NOT quite as pricey as larger stadiums. Plus parking is FREE.

Home to the Blue Rocks minor league baseball team has a hometown feel. Many activities for the family between innings. The food vendors are on the moderate side pricewise. And at the end of the game they had a massive fireworks display.

If you love baseball and want to see some potential up and comings, would highly recommend driving down to Wilmington for an afternoon game. Ticket prices were reasonable. The game we went to was fairly lightly attended with the majority of the seats in the sun. The staff told us that if we wanted to move into the shade we were welcome to (it was a fairly hot day with minimal cloud cover). There were some food options including Chickie and Pete's down at the far end of the concourse, parking was free, staff was friendly, crowd was pleasant and the place was clean. As to be expected with most minor league games, lots of sideline action giving away prizes. At the end of the game kids were welcome to run the bases and one of the players was signing autographs near the dugout. He was very nice (Bruce Steel) and he absolutely made my kid's day (we took him for his birthday). Overall, great family outing that didn't cost a fortune! It's about a 45 minute drive from the Philly area and outside of having to deal with I95, getting there wasn't too bad.

Daniel S. Frawley Stadium is home to the Wilmington Blue Rocks of the Carolina League. They are the advanced A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. Very affordable for a family on a budget. Great baseball with entertainment between innings to keep the crowd involved.

Blue Rocks minor league baseball knocks the socks off their big league cousins. See young players make wonderful plays and occasionally make big goofs. It is a stitch! And the prices are family friendly with free parking included.

My husband's employer gave employees the opportunity to get tickets at no cost to them so we took them up on the offer. The stadium is very nice with a good selection of food, we had a cheesesteak & crab fries both from Chickie's & Pete's both of which were good. The food prices are reasonable. The game is very kid friendly as they have different things going on between innings that will keep your kids entertained. We left in the bottom of the 8th inning because my husband didn't want to deal with traffic leaving the parking lot since he's dealt with it before when attending a function at the Chase Center. It was also a giveaway night so that made it fun as well. We'll definitely go again.

How is the area around the stadium? Safe,clean any good places to eat before the game?

There are a number of places to eat within a short walk. Timothy's, Ubon, Big Fish, Iron Hill, Joe's Crab Shack to name a few. The area is pretty safe and has Riverfront security that patrols the area. we have never had a problem and we have been to many games there.
