Spring was flooded

I was so excited to visit hart springs park. Unfortunately the spring was closed due to flooding. The water was brown and it looked disgusting. There were a few trails but only the blue trail had interesting views. They have a nice campground with full hookups. Spots 1-15 looked very spacious.

Great lil get away clean campsite . The pool was clean and big , social distancing was great with the covid -19 . People were respectful on the social distancing, and only 15 people in the pool area. Basketball courts the have full hooks . Sewer water electric all right there . Also they have a fire for you there , only think u need is the fire wood. As long as u have a fan the mosquitos were not bad at all . Will be back there in sept . Lot 69/70 were great lil spots with shade .

Best campground and springs in North Florida

We came for 2 months every summer. I bring my granddaughters age 10 and 13. The camp ground manager Brian makes sure that the campground and the springs is a safe and clean environment for the kids.

No hot water in bathrooms. Also the entire park was closed due to flooding. Before and after reserving we were not notified that the entire park was closed along with all of the amenities. Reserve America was never informed of this either. There is a half of a playground and a pool on the campsite. Also be careful when you book your site. Only some of the sites actually have a wood clearing - otherwise you will be camping on a concrete pad.

Nice Campground if you have children.

We were pleasantly greeted when we arrived for our stay. We were escorted to our site by our host and he graciously helped me back our rig into our site. Quite a friendly gentleman and he made my wife and I feel very welcome.

One of the gripes I have about our site however were the tree roots that were endless and all over the place. My wife tripped multiple times because of the uneven ground. A few loads of crush stone would go along way to keeping you from tripping and potentially getting hurt with every step, not to mention keeping the sand/mud out of our gear.

The other gripe I had was there were a TON of kids. Don't get me wrong, we don't mind kids, but when they don't have any respect for every ones campsite I draw the line. Our friend actually had to chase a group of kids away from his camper and his equipment they were messing around with. Granted, it's not the campsites fault with this, but they should make all campers aware of campsite etiquette in their rules. There was also quite a few unleashed dogs running around. I personally like dogs, but don't want them running through my campsite nor leaving surprise packages where I have to walk!

My final gripe is with the basketball court. Our rig (hence bedroom) was a very short distance away from it. Kids were out there playing until late in the evening and before 7:00AM. Needless to say don't plan on getting much sleep if you luckily get this site.

Otherwise, the campsite was quite nice. Large open sites, working water, power and sewer connections made for an enjoyable stay. Just a note, there is no cable here so TV channels are slim pickings. The one nice thing was the free WIFI available. It isn't the fastest, but allowed you to check up on an occasional email if needed. The friendly staff here only added to our experience!

Finally opened a few campgrounds in Florida so we headed to Hart Springs. Very few campers. Pool is open spring is closed. River rose 2 feet over nite.

Wonderful place to stay

Stayed in our trailer. The sites are large with full hook up. The restrooms are clean and climate controlled. Hot water showers. It's a great place to walk or bike. The springs are beautiful. There is a wonderful boardwalk that you can take through the woods and along the Suwannee river. It is really quite beautiful. Definitely looking forward to returning.

Just Pure and Beautiful!

Hart Springs is a true Florida gem. The spring is lovely, clean and a wonderful place to visit and spend the day swimming and just being in nature. The grounds are kept perfectly clean. Bing a lunch and spend the day. Get out of the city and enjoy some of the beautiful nature that Hart Springs has to offer.

Invasion of Flies!!

If not for the trash left in the fire pits which I guess contributes to the nastiest fly invasion/infestation I have ever seen at a park, I would give this place a 5. I couldn't even sit outside in the cool of the mornings and enjoy my coffee. Several times I ended up with a dead fly in my coffee, even after vigorously attempting to keep them swatted away. I have never seen so many flies anywhere!! I think they just need to pick up the trash and empty the dumpster more often. You could literally see the maggots crawling around in there whenever you went to empty your trash.
