Absolutely devastating!! Seeing photos of once was and how destroyed this park is from recent hurricanes is sad! Sign at street says beach closed make a u turn. I however drove all the way out to the park to see for myself!! Looks like a scene straight out of a movie, very eerie!!

Great clean beach with amenities

Visited here today for the first time. Was $10 for all day parking, which is cheap for the area. Please note they only allow approx 350 cars into the park and after that they close until at least 50 cars leave (told this by attendant collecting the $10). Beaches were clean and family friendly. Bathrooms close by were clean. Would visit again.

Schöner Strand mit Baden im warmen Golf von Mexiko

Es ist nicht der schönste Strand, aber ein schöner Strand. Und das Baden im warmen Golf von Mexiko macht Spaß. Leider gibt es keine schattigen Plätze vor Ort, sodass man sich einen Sonnenschirm selbst mitbringen muss.

Best White Sandy Beaches in SWFL

One of the most beautiful beaches in Southwest Florida. We love this beach for the white sand, shelling, wildlife, dolphin, and of course beautiful sunsets. There are several parking lots, one near Bonita Beach Road where there is Doc's Beach house serving food and beer/wine, jet ski rentals, and valet parking. If you turn onto Barefoot Beach Road and drive about 1.5 miles there are 3 additional parking lots with bathrooms, showers, and it tends to be less crowded. There is no food service in this area so bring a cooler and chairs.

Barefoot beach is always a wonderful fun place to enjoy the Gulf.
So much fun to watch the turtles wandering around. Don’t forget to check under your car before leaving, the turtles love to hide under cars.

Barefoot beach is always a great destination. Beautiful beach and awesome spot to see turtles. Don’t forget to check under your car before leaving the parking lots, the turtles love to wonder under vehicles.

Relaxing, nice clean beach

Gorgeous beach! Loved the Gulf! Some of the best seashelling we've ever had. Once we figured out we had to drive into the gated community. The only reason I took off a rating is that one day that we tried to go the lot was full by noon. It kinda put a kink in our day plan.

I came here as a “Plan B” instead of Naples Pier on Easter. As imagined, Naples Pier on Easter was incredibly busy. So, my family and I decided to try this beach instead. I discovered that this is a hidden gem in Southwest Florida. The beach is not overcrowded, and there are a lot of beach amenities.

First, the beach is not overcrowded. On Easter, there were still plenty of places to park a beach chair, beach tent, or towel on the sand. Each person still had plenty of space around them once they found their spot. I would assume on non-Easter days that the beach is even less busy. On top of this, parking was not an issue. There are plenty of easy and convenient ways to park even if the main three lots full up. Parking is $10/day.

Finally, the amenities. On top of the beach not being overcrowded, the beach also has plenty of convenient amenities. There is a small cafe, bathrooms, and beautiful walking trails. Each entrée at the cafe averages about $8-10.

For Easter, this beach exceeded my expectations. I still got the same stunning views that Southwest Florida beaches have to offer, nothing was different. Do not be alarmed when traveling through the luxury homes to get here, just keep driving and you will see the public entrance. The beach was not overcrowded, and there were fun amenities. If I am back in the Naples/Bonita Springs area again, I will be seeking out this beach.

This is a hidden gem.

We found this place after a quick google search for the best beaches in florida.

After you drive through a gated community you arrive at the preserve.

$10 entrance fee at the gate or pay at a machine if unattended.

There are 3 parking lots. The first 2 are paved. Last one is gravel and where the walking trail starts. Outhouse available only at the gravel lot.

Snack bar is at the first parking lot. They have a variety of beach snacks and beverages to choose from.

The beach itself is clean, soft white sand. You can walk barefoot it’s so soft. There are foot showers along the boardwalk to the beach. It’s also not overcrowded.

We came over spring break and there were plenty of parking spots and space on the beach.

If you want a clean pristine florida white sand beach that’s not shoulder to shoulder people with restrooms available this is it!

Short drive through a gated private community and you are rewarded with a view of Florida as nature intended it

It's a little confusing at first, because GPS leads you straight to the gate of a private community. Don't let it scare you away, friendly guard kindly directs you to keep driving. You continue through a beautiful neighborhood and end up on the beach parking lot (you can pay staff at the booth or at a kiosk). If you drive to the last parking area, you get rewarded with a nature loop trail and the less crowded beach. The trail is well maintained and has information about vegetation you encounter. The best part, however, are the gopher tortoises that live in the area. Shells are nice as well, if you are into that. We found a lot of worm shells, fighting conch and much more. There was one toilet on the last parking area and no running water. Definitely would visit again.
