This was our first time surfing, a great time was had by all. Mark was a great teacher, he explained everything well and was very patient, the morning was relaxed and we all managed to stand on our boards. We also got some great photos. Thank you Mark for helping us add a great memory to our fantastic holiday.

Mark was a fantastic instructor! My girls were up and surfing in minutes. He was their biggest cheerleader, constant with his encouragement and advice. We will definitely take lessons from Mark again!!

I chose to do a two hour lesson with Mark after looking on TripAdvisor. I had never even swam in the ocean before, so I brought every meaning of newb to the table. He explained rip tides, what they are, what to do and not do. He showed me the motions on the beach before going out in the water, and asked a bit about what made me want to try surfing. He was determined to make sure I stood by the end of the lesson. Within the hour, I was standing. He truly wants people to succeed, and more than that he wants people to have fun. I can't imagine trying to figure a lot of it on my own... not that it's hard, but that it wouldn't have occurred to me where the best place is to lay on the board, when exactly to paddle, some things to avoid, etc so I feel like this has greatly sped my learning and gave me a solid foundation for future surfing. He's patient, personable, and knowledgeable which all came together to make easily one of my favorite memories in life so far, and definitely my favorite memory from my trip.

Mark was absolutely awesome! My 18-year-old had a private, hour-long lesson (and was standing/surfing by the end with no previous experience) and was really comfortable with Mark. He even stayed a little later to surf with my son since he had some time before his next lesson. He was kind, patient, friendly, and (I'll say it again) patient. Excellent price as well -- thanks, Mark!

I brought my grand kids to the beach for a day of fun and stumbled upon Surf Lessons Florida. I got the 3 of them lessons and was amazed how good the instructor Mark was my grand kids had the best time. I plan on doing this again for the summer at least once a week as they had the most fun they have had in a long time!!!

We gave our daughter and her friends the surf lessons to celebrate two of the girls' 16th birthdays. The morning of the lesson, Mark called and said there was a volleyball tournament at Lori Wilson Park and he didn't think the girls would enjoy their lesson as much with so many people, SO HE OFFERED TO COME TO US! We were staying at a hotel on the beach and certainly got the VIP treatment with these lessons. The instruction was amazing and for 4 girls who had never attempted to surf in their lives, every single one of them got up on the boards multiple times! He even went over our agreed upon 2-hour lesson a bit. Absolutely fantastic experience and appreciated the phenomenal ability and personality Mark has as an instructor! Will definitely do it again next time we are in Cocoa Beach!!!

My wife purchased a $90 gift certificate for me for Christmas. They told her they would be opening for lessons in April. For the past week and a half I have called numerous times, left messages and emailed them. No response, no call back, no email, nothing. I think they sell the gift certificates with no intention of actually producing anything. Better look somewhere else.

I do apologize and am not sure as to why we didn't receive the phone call or email. We take our business seriously and aim to please. We also take our reviews from our customers seriously, both positive and negative. I see where your wife purchased the gift certificate on 12/23/13 and everything went through great on that end. Please provide me with your contact information either by phone, email or facebook, so we can figure out what went wrong and resolve this issue. We can either try to schedule a date for your lesson, that works for you with an additional hour on us or refund your money back in full. If I don't hear back from you within the next 3 business days, I will go ahead and issue the refund in full to the PayPal email address on file at time of purchase. Again, I do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and do look forward to hearing from you so I can fix the issue and make it better. Thanks!

My boys, ages 14 & 11 yrs. had their first surfing experience on Labor Day weekend with SLF!!
Mark was (and is) AWESOME!!! He had a pretty large group...my kids & friends kids...and he took so much time with all of the kids. He really customized each child’s lessons to meet his/her needs. He was very thorough, taught in & out of water, and covered water safety instructions. He worked with each child individually and as part of a group. As an added bonus, he even took the time to mount his digital camera on the board to video tape each child, then edited it, added music and emailed it to us after!!! I would highly recommend SLF to anyone & everyone!!!
