Yes. There is a 1-mile coastal dune lake within the park where you can paddleboard. The concessionaire rents equipment.

There is a small cost to the park, Military are free and there are a few small car parks to stop at, plenty of parking with views of the waterways so you can watch the boats go by there are also wooded walking areas on little paths to have a wonder around.. you cannot get lost as your surrounded by water and a circular road.. lovely place for a couple of hours.....

I see Raccoons every time I've been in the park. Especially if I have a snack. DO NOT FEED the Raccoons or any wildlife!

Yes, you can rent them at the park's concession, which is called Park & Ocean.

The park has so much wildlife and birds! Also they offer tours and you can get a Brochure with more information at the Park Ranger's Station. The park is listed in The Great Florida Birding Trail Guide. There are also racconons and non-poisonous snakes, squirrels, and more. The turtles include the endangered Gopher Tortoise and and Threatened Diamond Terrapin Turtles. Tours for viewing the great Sea Turtles are listed in the Park's brochure. To my knowledge these Turtles lay their eggs and you can view the hatchlings race to the water from the Ocean Side of the park but not in the main park. Check for scheduled tours and dates to go on a Sea Turtle Watch/Walk - that is the bes way to enjoy viewing the great ocean swimming turtles.

Hello, I just saw your question. I don't think there are any alligators there. We did not see any warning signs about alligators. The park is really neat.

While mostly brackish water (the intercoastal is brackish water. Fresh water mixed with Salt Water from the tides that enter into and out of the Intercoastal to the Atlantic Ocean on the beach side. Its a lovely park to park and have a seat on the Sea Wall on the Intercoastal Waterway and Fish! You could catch snappers, spiny catfish and other different species of Catfish, tough fighting little Jacks, gar, barracuda, sharks (small nurse sharks or bonnet heads be careful!) A rare snook is great & possible catch. (You need a special stamp to catch Snook in the State of Florida on your fishing license) and you do need a fishing license! While practice I always practice catch and release, the ever invasive Lion Fish are everywhere in our waters and if you catch one, you should never return it to the water. They are also poisonous and if you are an experienced fisherperson you may want to flag down a Park Ranger and let him handle the fish and getting it off your line. Easist way to handle it is to cut your line Once the Fish is OUT OF THE WATER and on-land. DO NOT RETURN IT TO THE WATER. And start over with a fresh hook and bait! Neve handle these fish with your hands, they are spiny and can hurt you. Just a few helpful hints to make your relaxing day of fishing - just that - A Relaxing, Fun, pain free and safe Day!
