Extremely disappointed and aggravated that the marina closes their ramps at 5:00pm. BBB We paid $ 7,000 to stay the week at Hawks Cay which was nothing more than filthy unkept resort and then we were controlled by the marina when we could take our boat in and out .The people at the marina we extremely rude and very unhelpful . We did not purchase boat slips ( 2 boats ) because they were unavailable for the first half of our trip and we felt like $150 per night per boat (small 20 foot fishing boats) was ridiculous so we opted to spend $50 a night to park in a mud pit on property. When we booked our reservation we were never told there was limited ramp use, the resort made it sound like there was always a ramp to use onsite at our convenience. Save your money , and don’t stay at this resort or use their marina. We have stayed at many places in the keys and this experience by far has been the worst.

We love this place, we stay here at least 5 times a year but las few times the customer service experience was not good at all BUT TODAY I was attended by ODALIS and she changed everything! Such a great customer service, she helped me to change my reservation and explained everything to me.

Spent six weeks at Hawks Cay Marina from December 2019 to January 2020. Marina staff are outstanding including the manager Ed, as well as Lavar, Jesse, Heather, and Rebecca. They deliver mail, packages, help with docking, and anything else you need.
We purchased a quantity of fuel, and as the hoses are only so long, they were very helpful in positioning our 16 foot beam vessel in the fuel dock for putting fuel on both sides.
The resort is well laid out for walking, has several swimming pools including adult pool, and a salt water lagoon; as well as several restaurants and a fitness center/spa.

Ed from Ohio, such an amazing guy. He took care of us when we docked in our slip and was there we we fueled to head home. He asked about our fueling process and shared how the keys were recovering from the hurricane 2017. We never felt rushed to get out and he even showed me a new way to tie off my spring line. When we set off he asked us to make sure we came back and I have to say to see him again I would definitely come back. Thank you ED!!!!

After evacuating the east coast of Florida from Hurricane Dorian, we decided we needed a getaway and headed to Duck Key where we stayed in an ocean front room at Hawk's Cay Resort. You would never guess they had been hit with a category 4 hurricane Irma just two years ago! The landscaping was lush and beautifully maintained. Our room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. One of my favorite features is the adults only pool and cabana area. While the guys went fishing for the day, I headed to the pool. A nice surprise was when a waiter came by with a complimentary drink of the day. A few years ago we stayed at the resort with our grandkids for a family wedding and enjoyed the pirate themed pool and water slide as well as the giant family pool and fire pits. If looking for a place to dine for dinner, our meal at Anglers was top notch with the tuna appetizer first on our list. Last year we stayed at Key West but with Marathon only an hour up the road, we enjoyed the laid back pace of Marathon and still made a day trip of heading to key West. We will be back!

Yesterday when we docked our boat , Ed and Rebecca were at the administration office to help us withthe resort ameneties.
The two of them were very helpfull and professionnal.
We look forward to come back soon.

There is no general store in the duck key. This store is closed to the public and haven’t reopened yet. It should be said. Being there you have to drive 15’ to get to the closest store

This was our final sailing destination on our sailboat charter from Miami. It did not disappoint. The water quality in this "harbor" is far better than most since it flushes back and forth from the Intercoastal Waterway and Hawks Channel. Bev from reservations was super helpful as my first contact and then the Dockmaster Heather was super helpful with navigation advice and selecting the right slip for "Amazing Grace". Angela in the store is fun and helpful. Our server, Andrea from Jamaica was pure delight. We enjoyed the dolphins, pools, mini-golf, and great outdoor dining at the Angler and Ale. This was our favorite place of our entire trip to the Florida Keys!
