Well the brass monkey is a great dive bar, with great friendly service, people are allowed to smoke inside. We went in the daytime to check it out because we were going to head back there for classic rock in the night but the second hand smoke was very unpleasant. So we are posting this because if you read about brass monkey anywhere they may not mention it.

Nice little local bar with friendly service ! At night you may find some local talent performing on stage and the atmosphere is very laid back.

Stopped in the small liquor store on our way home. Not huge but gets the job done. The woman working there said they are always open until 4AM. Once the store closes you go over to the bar and the bartender can grab you anything you need from the back. 5 stars for that alone!
In my opinion the Brass Monkey Lounge was a must visit if you want an awesome dive bar experience. Drinks were cold and cheap. My IPA was only 3 bucks! 3 bucks!!As a warning it is pretty Smokey but it’s a dive bar so you don’t expect classy.

We happened to stumble across this next to Kmart looking for a liquor store. Small little liquor store on the side, not a huge selection, but had the necessities and just what we were looking for. Will visit again when down in the Keys.

Being a Reuben snob...I must say this was THE best Reuben I have ever been blessed enough to try...Hands down BOMBTASTIC!!💣💣
It is a well known fact that the hole in the wall places more often than not are the hidden gems in the rough. This sandwich was simplistic yet so comforting and piled to the roof with corned beef! Fantastically awesome job Dusti! Our hats off to you chef!!
Miss Mary and Blondie the barmaids are the finishing touches to this great longstanding local hangout with a funky monkey vibe!

Went to three other liqour stores before the Brass Monkey. Only store to carry Dr. McGillicuddy's Mentholmint (The Best Peppermint Schnapps).
