Amazing views! Best to follow the signs to the parking, as there is no stairs from that area. A small easy walk to the point to see the caves

Large sheltered cove nestled below the Blow-Me-Down mountains in Lark Harbor. Incredibly picturesque and a definite "must see" if in the West Side of Newfoundland. Decent road leading up to parking area which has limited parking and a few info posts describing the area. There are a few trails one of which leads to a flat mesa like area overlooking the entrance to the cove with great views of the cove, the nearby lighthouse and the Gulf of St. Lawrence..

Bottle Cove is well worth the journey. There is a car park right by the beach, which offers some great beach combing along the shore. Picnic tables are available right on the beach. There is a 2nd car park further along the road and from here there are several walks. One called 'Trails End' is only a mile long, pretty flat and goes through the trees to the end of the promontory overlooking the cove, back to the beach and out over the Gulf of St Lawrence. In the top car park there is a 'long-drop' pit toilet with framed pictures of lighthouses inside - it must be the best kept toilet in Newfoundland!

The view at Bottle Cove Beach was worth the drive from Corner Brook while on our vacation in Newfoundland. The entire drive to Lark Harbour was breathtaking!!!
Although we did not hike the trails, we could still experience the Beauty.

This beach is gorgeous, good for beach-combing,there is a boardwalk which turns into a very manageable hike around to a look-off by the entrance to the cove from the ocean. We were entranced by the beauty, the scents of the ocean the trees and wild flowers, the sound of the waves. Our friends coming from a busy city, said "It's just us here!" Newfoundland cast it's spell.

If you continue out to Lark Harbour. Bay of Islands, you can continue (about 15 minutes) on to the very tip of the peninsula to Bottle Cove . This is a rather tiny charming cove which is well worth a visit. There is a small park and walking trail where hikers can walk for 20-30minutes over to the head of the cove which allows beautiful views back to the cove and overlooking the dramatic cliffs which protect the cove from the open ocean. For those not inclined to hike, there are benches which allow you to enjoy the views from just above the beach of the cove.

We were headed down the south arm of Bay of Islands and when we got to York Harbour we turned down Ocean Lane which was a dead end. So we had to turn around in a fellow's driveway. He and his brothers-in-law were shelling mussels so I got out and chatted with them as hubby enjoyed taking photos of the surrounding beauty. They suggested we go to Bottle Cove and walk the boardwalk and up the hill to see the view from the top of the cliff. The boarded walk was well-maintained as well as the stairs going up the cliff, although there were a few areas when the boulders were exposed and had to be navigated around. It is well worth the climb up as the views are spectacular. We got down from the cliff as it began to pour. High recommend!

While researching Gros Morne for our vacation this summer, I expanded my search for places to visit and stumbled across some images of Bottle Cove. I decided that we needed to visit Lark Harbour to see it, and we were not disappointed. We arrived on June 29th straight from the airport in Deer Lake and even though it was raining lightly, we parked the car and hiked along the beach and up onto the cliffs. There are several trails to follow, all well marked, and that offer spectacular views (even in the rain). The trails are very pretty with fir needle beds, ferns, and mosses, and the rocky cliff views are wonderful. There are some moderate climbs, but the trails are not particularly long or very difficult, making it a great choice for those who aren't really into hiking. There are not a lot of things to do in Lark Harbour, but I think this place is a hidden gem (and only found it by accident), and it is definitely worth a visit, as is the trail at nearby Blow Me Down Provincial Park (which we hiked the next morning). Hats off to the OBIEC for their trail maintenance and signage.

I took my family here for a visit and they said it was the most beautiful spot they had ever visited. It is an easy trail to the top and a beautiful beach if you do not want to go to the top.
