The beach was clean. Lifeguard on duty covers only a section of a very long line of beach. If you stay in the Lifeguard protected area just up the ramp you have a food truck, public bathrooms, plenty of free parking and volleyball at one end of the parking, and a playground at the other end . The Lifeguard area does get a little crowded in the afternoon but if you want some solitude there is plenty of beach to be alone on. They have a Walgreens across the street just in case you forgot some kind of beach essentials.

We agree with the other posters about the nice beach and amenities. However, there was no mention of underwater, hidden coquina rocks. Upon entering the ocean, my husband stumbled over them. I was behind him and fell down on them bloodying both knees and my big toe. There were no signs or notices anywhere that you’d encounter big rocks upon entry at the surf break/dip. Needless to say, we never made it beyond them to float. It kind of ruined the ocean experience.

This is our go to beach. It has lifeguards, food truck, restrooms, volleyball court and a playground. There is plenty of parking and a couple entrances beside main one. I went on a Sunday morning and it was a nice walk. There were a lot of people fishing and plenty of space to set up. However, this was at low tide and would recommend going then.

First beach visit for grand kids. They were thrilled! Sand is fine, it is a clean, family friendly place. Free parking.

Nice Beach Near Melbourne Large, Clean Beach and plenty of Free Parking. Shaded Picnic area and tables are adequately distant so bring your lunch or mid day snack. Clean restrooms. Playground and food truck.
A little over an hour drive from Orlando or St Augustine if you are visiting the area.
Also, other nice beaches along that stretch from Merritt Island to Vero Beach. So take your pick and enjoy the day!

Great beach. Almost reminds me of Destin. Soft white sand, beautiful water. Almost looks like a Caribbean beach. Not immune from the seaweed problem affecting the whole east coast of Florida. No problem finding a parking spot on the weekend.

My two young grandsons and their parents were visiting for a few days. This was the perfect beach spot. Free parking, clean restrooms, nice beach area and a fabulous food truck!

beautiful beach in Melbourne. We were just driving and would get out at various beaches. Free parking and clean beach. Nice surf and friendly people.

The beach and walkways are clean and the ocean is well supervised by lifeguards. There is a berm created to combat erosion; if you have physical limitations, be advised as the berm is

We brought our kids to the playground here so that we didn't have to go into the water again and it was so good we brought them three more times on our trip to the central coast! We were staying nearby so it was a convenient option. Good bathrooms, vibrant playground, great picnic area. The beach is currently undergoing a rehabilitation so you might need to sun yourself somewhere else, but if you have young kids, def kill some non-water time here!

There are several hotels on A1A near Paradise and the other Beaches. The Radisson is nice and Doubletree has a decent restaurant and bar by the pool and beach access as well. There are several others but these are the two that I have experience with.

Yes! They have 1 mile dedicated for dogs. Technically they should stay on their leash, but LOTS of people unclip them to chase Frisbees, balls, etc. Have fun!

There are Coquina Rocks up & down our coast in the Melbourne area, but they seem to be absent from Paradise. It’s a great sandy beach!
