It’s honestly a nice pier in terms of structural design & handicap accessible. We caught no fish here. The pier seemed to be extremely conservative. Noting that profanity signs were on this pier stating profanity equals removal. Seemed a bit extreme for a city pier. Additionally no drinks alcoholic beverage on pier. There was also a loud gospel preaching there, so it was very religious to me.

we spent several hours on the pier, as the pass is good for 24 hours. my son fished off the pier and caught several fish. lots of fun.

The pier extends out into the gulf. People can fish off it. There is a cost per person to get on it. We walked along and watched the odd person fish but waves were a bit choppy and wasn’t much activity.

Russell Fields Pier is a prime example of Panama City Beach's mercenary mentality which has overwhelmed what I can only imagine as once a naturally blessed area. I've been to countless attractive towns and piers in Florida and worldwide. PCB- (how ironic are its initials) is sadly not one of them. This is so despite a bounty of nature's truly lovelier beach waters. Like so much wrong with the town itself- so lacking in warmth, greenery, signature charm and positive uniqueness of character - almost everything is about money. The attractions are predominantly either mindless or box cutter covered over in concrete, franchise and herd adheringly oriented. So much of what should be nature's bouquet has been stripped, poorly cultivated or abused. I'll keep my $4 TO WALK A PIER and enjoy so many other parts of Florida that do it all with so much more balance and sensitivity, including attracting the much wider varieties and balances of people who more broadly reflect our diverse nation on vacation. Finally, the simple act of finding trees, splashes of flowers and bushes beyond a preserve within this governance is often a challenge, How sad.

Charge $4 to walk on it. I have been to quite a few beach towns and being charged was a first. We passed since there are so many places to walk and see the ocean for free in PCB.

A short walk to the end of the pier but so much to see ; from Pelicans ; fishermen and the beautiful views all around. Well worth the $3.00 they charge for the day - you can come and go as much as you want !

Leisurely walk with beautiful views. Kids enjoyed the walk and were especially entertained by the Pelican on the pier. Would love to come back during the sea turtle season.

The Russell Fields Pier is a good quarter mile walk. No dolphins but plenty of wave action. I paid $3 and you can get your hand stamped and come back to the pier the same day. The only blemish was the restrooms could have been better lit.

Tony and I went out on Russell Fields Pier at PCB paid $8 total, we saw Dolphins, a stingray swimming by the pier, a school of needle fish and we got up close and personal with 2 Pelicans

Nice view of the ocean. Cost $4 a person of age 7+. Kinda high just to walk a pier that should be free. I'll definitely do it again.

Hello. We are vacationing in Destin and are heading out Saturday (7/6/19). We are wanting to stop in Panama City and visit the Russell Fields City Pier but we have a Yorkie dog . I am just wondering if anyone knows what the pier's policy is on dogs? Are they allowed? Hope they will allow them because we will not leave him in a hot car. Thanks for any info. that anyone can give us.

We don't know for sure but when we were there we did not see anyone with a dog on the pier.

We saw no one on the pier with beer or any alcohol.

How much is an adult fishing license for 1day and pole rental

you do not need a fishing license bc they carry one for the enire pier. To fish on the pier is it $7 to 8 dollars to fish on it all day. Now to rent a pole, you can rent one at Hatch Hitch which is down the rd from the pier. It is $10 all day to rent one. But there is a deposit as well.
