Went out with my son & nephew under the direction of Captain Derrick Jacobsen. Everything you need to know beforehand is on the website, www.floridalighttacklecharters.com. Just bring your hat, sunscreen, camera and wear boat shoes. My son requested a split day 8-hr charter. We went out in the morning for shark. Captain Derrick took us directly to the right spot. It took a little while before our first bites and then came the action--4 sharks within an hour and a half. The time seemed to go by quickly after each catch. What a rush! Fishing for tarpon requires more patience and luck. We got several bites but only one hooked. My son followed the directions of the Captain but the tarpon managed to break loose. Just watching the tarpon jumping and rolling was awesome. Still exciting--worth the $$$. Captain Derrick really knows his stuff; as a tip, we recommend this charter for 2 persons.
