I’d recommend early morning as the animals will be more active and the crowds will be smaller. Be sure to get a window seat near the front on the opposite side of the driver as they will feed the wild pigs corn out the entry door.

Hi, There is a Babcock Ranch Sustainable City, a development of new homes and a sustainable solar community. If you are thinking of relocating, this is probably what you want to see. There is ALSO Babcock Ranch Eco Tours. This is a working cattle ranch where visitors can ride a 'swamp buggy' around the ranch and view wildlife. Both of these were once part of the larger Babcock Ranch property, which is very large and emcompasses part of Charlotte and Lee Counties, FL .

Call them, but I don't think it would be a good idea. You will see alligators and possibly a herd of wild hogs. Your dog may not be safe.

EV Babcock was the original owner and was a land baron from Pennsyvania. He developed the land in 1914 for logging and built a small town here. In the 1940s his son transferred 65,000 of the 156,000 acres to the state. The state obtained more land in 2006.
